Dennis Max Deal???

Wow! So this is a concern! 25m possibly depending on the cap. Scary thing is that the 76ers organization is a dumb one and they would actually probably do it even if he stays on the bench next year cause they are desperate at this point. Bud need to figure this thing out.

The other day when asked his ceiling, I said Reggie Jackson.  What I mean is that everybody thought that Jackson would be a breakout star when he got out of the shawdows.  Well, what they found is that it's easier to be the 2nd stringer and look good that the first.  That takes nothing away from what Jackson is doing, he's still very good, but he's not a breakout superstar.  He's a better piece of the puzzle.  I see Dennis the same way.  He's not a breakout superstar... he's too selfish for that, but he'll be a good piece of the puzzle.

 

Flexibility is overrated.  And flexibility isn't normally destroyed by overpaying talented players.  What destroys flexibility, is when you overpay bad to mediocre players.

It's those bad multi year mid level contracts that destroy teams.  

Dennis in Philly would get superstar responsibilities.  That's why they'd pay him top dollar.   If the Hawks won't, that's fine.

But both Teague and Dennis will get paid in the Summer of 2017.  And the Hawks better decide which guy they rather overpay, because it's going to happen.

If not, Shane Larkin or the great Acie Law ( who is now playing in the Philippines ) will be the Hawks PG in the 2017 season.

No - it's not a concern.  Like @TheNorthCydeRises said the Hawks will either pay Teague or Dennis or we'll be looking for a new PG.  I think it was @rd79 who posted the 2017 free agent PGs.  Have a look and see who we get if we don't resign Teague or Dennis.

He's the Hawks best PF I've seen in my lifetime. Maybe he might be the best Hawks PF ever. It's not like they got somebody they could plug in that could do what he does on a regular basis.
