My hubby had surgery yesterday to remove a tumor from his parotid gland (he had the entire gland removed). Biopsy results were inconclusive, full results in 3-4 days. They got the entire thing and it didn't spread.

JayBirdHawk - - Any further news?

Continuing to pray for Mr. JayBird  and hoping for the best.

@Gray Mule  Thanks for checking in.

The biopsy results came back positive for cancer. The Dr is confident that by removing the entire gland he got all of it. There was one lymph node within the gland that was positive and also removed. They tested 7 other lymph nodes and they were negative.

We have one more visit with the Dr that did the surgery then we see a radiation therapist to determine next steps and what course of treatment will be required.

He's recovering well from the surgery.

Thanks from all the prayers and well wishes from my Squawk Family.

Update:

We got word this evening that my hubby will require radiation therapy.  5 days a week for 6-7 weeks.  Not sure exact date it 'll start as yet.

We are doing well.  Keep praying Squawkers.  Thanks.
