Official Game Thread: Hawks at Cavaliers GAME 2

Cleveland would win NBA championship easy if they had this kind of confidence against other teams and shot threes like they do against the Hawks. The problem is they won't play this way against other teams.  The Cavs shoot threes like friggin robots against the Hawks.  There is nothing you can do when one team shoots a higher percentage on threes than the other team shoots on layups.

Most of the problem is this team can't guard dribble penetration. When the wing player lets the driver get past them, you have to help and then boom, open three. It's not just with James.

I don't condone injuries, but if Cleveland wants to keep playing like this then the Hawks need to start laying them out.

Where's Ivan Johnson when you need him?

You guys do realize this is why the national media will never, ever, ever respect this franchise unless they win a title, right?

More like titles. As you can see some people discredit the Warriors' title last season.

Kyle Korver's effect on the Hawks against the Cavs is just like the Tony Allen effect on Memphis against Golden State. He's been figured out, he's done being helpful, and the reality is...this offense can't do much of anything without him. So the only thing that really can be done is to blow up this offense and remodel it in the offseason.

The move doesn't have to be a rebuild but it does have to be to legitimately look for talent upgrades on the wing (instead of only looking a little) and move on from Kyle Korver as a starter. Try to move up in the draft and sign one of the big wings in FA.

All other starter's +/- 's are being dragged down by Korver's inability to score and defend JR Smith

Great post. It's not realistic to think we gonna land a FA SF. There prices is off the wall and everyone who got one, wants to keep em. It's gonna have to be via trade. We can land a FA center and move Al to PF. Move Sap to SF maybe.
