We have until the all star break to win

In my opinion we have until the trade deadline next year to see what kind of a team we have. If we are a top 6 team in the east, we will most likely ride it out or add necessary pieces. On the other hand if the new pieces don't have chemistry and we are a below .500 team, we NEED to blow it up fast. Meaning we have to try and trade Sap, Korver, Thabo, Splitter and whoever else is a veteran, I would say even Dwight and stock up on young players, assets and picks. We don't want to be paying a max contract to Millsap next summer and we don't want him walking away with nothing to show for it.

 

We have about 3 months to figure it out. November, December and January, thats it. I would personal say if we are not a top 4 team in the east, we should blow it up. Just my opinion.

Don't worry.  We'll be in the top 6.  This is still an elite defensive team that might even be better defensively now.  That alone will keep us in the top 6.

I agree. Top 5 then we're fine as a team. You gotta think the followings teams pretty much remained the same or improved on paper...

 

Toronto

Cleveland

Charlotte

Detroit

Indiana

Boston

Milwaukee

Magic

Knicks

Washington

So if we can find ourselves top 5 outta those 10 teams then I'd think we're ok.

I agree if it works out early they'll ride it out but I can see a quick tank if it doesn't.

 Trading Sap, Korver and shutting down Dwight is a easy way to a top 5 pick
