Guest
With the 84th pick in the squawk draft, the Spudsters select Gorgious Gorgui Dieng...aka call me da Django! We are very happy with this young man and his progress. He is entering his 3rd year in the league and becoming a dominating force. He averages roughly 10 points, 7 boards, 2 dimes, a block and a steal per. His fg is at 53% while he shoots 83% from the line. Those numbers are pretty impressive for any big. His defensive prowess is one that you will have to game plan for as well. Welcome Gorgious Senegalese Sy! ps Sy likes to psych people out for kicks! Lol Barring any trades, @ATLHawks3 is up and his team is starting to piss me off a tad lol...

I love Diengs defense but just thought Monroe had more versatility. I don't think you can go wrong with either this late in the game.

Pau Gasol It isn't often in a draft that a team is able to select an All-Star this late in the draft, but luckily our organization was able to do so. Pau Gasol is coming off a season in which he averaged 16.5 ppg 11.0 rpg 4.1 apg and 2.0 bpg. We understand as an organization that one of the main reasons for Gasol slipping this low in the draft is due to his age, however over the last few seasons Pau Gasol has proven to be one of the most valuable PF/C in the NBA while also showing that age is nothing but a number. His skill set was simply impossible to overlook as he brings a combination of elite passing , post scoring, and rim protection to our team. Players such as Damian Lillard should be able to benefit from the spacing he brings because not only is he an elite mid range scorer, but he is also a solid 3-Point shooter as well (He hit nearly 35% of his 3 point attempts). We are extremely excited about the acquisition of a player of Gasol's caliber this late in the draft and we simply cannot wait for the season to begin. Welcome to the Attack, Pau Gasol! ATLANTA ATTACK 2016-2017 ROSTER: PG: Damian Lillard SG: J.J. Redick SF: Carmelo Anthony PF: Paul Millsap C: Pau Gasol @Spud2Nique is on the clock! I had both Dirk and Pau on my radar hoping they would get passed up for younger players; instead I had to draft the younger guys! Both are great picks this late.
Popular Post ATLHawks3
With the next pick in the 2016 Hawksquawk Dynasty Draft, the Atlanta Attack selects..... Dwyane Wade It is simply astonishing that our organization was able to select yet another All-Star this late in the draft. Wade is coming off a season in which he averaged 19.0 ppg 4.6 apg and 4.1 rpg. During the 2016 Playoffs, Wade was able to turn up his performance even more as he was able to average 21.4 ppg 5.6 rpg and 4.3 apg in 14 games. Wade's championship experience and veteran leadership will be a boost for my squad off the bench as we look to take home the championship this season. We are excited to add Wade to our roster and we cannot wait for the season to begin. Welcome to the Attack, Dwyane Wade! ATLANTA ATTACK 2016-2017 ROSTER: PG: Damian Lillard SG: J.J. Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted August 2, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted August 2, 2016 Wade was my Kemba from the last round: "Please, don't make me take him!" Great value! Hot pick on a platter, coming up! The next pick will allow the Eastern Conference to take a 43-42 lead among selected players. ~lw3
Moderators Popular Post lethalweapon3 Posted August 2, 2016 Moderators Popular Post Report Share Posted August 2, 2016 With what’s actually the 86th pick in the 2016 Summer Dynasty Draft, the Lethal Obsession selects… Bow-wow-wow, yippie-yo, yippie-yay! It’s DeMarre Carroll (SF/PF, Age 30, 6’8”, 212 lbs.), and he’s ready to play! So, is DeMarre Carroll not-so-small enough for a small forward? He’s reunited on the Lethal Obsession with Kent Bazemore, coming off the bench to support those defensive assignments for which the latter wing man is less-ideally suited. The pair can also play together when Bazemore shifts to 2-guard in the rotation, producing a far more experienced coupling at the wing whenever rookie Brandon Ingram sits. The Junk Yard Dawg is also accommodating as a perimeter option. He hit 39 percent of his three-point attempts in an injury-shortened 2015-16, one season after a breakout season where JYD sunk 39.5 3FG% during the regular season and 40.3 3FG% in the postseason, often times taking the initiative to carry his team while more lauded teammates struggled to make a positive impact on the floor. DeMarre is enjoying a full summer to recuperate from plantar fasciitis, in-season arthroscopic knee surgery, and various lingering injuries (ankle/elbow/hip/wrist) sustained after he was rushed back into the starting lineup for his team’s highly-successful playoff run. Offensively, Carroll hopes his game reverts to the 2014-15 season (56.7 2FG%, 4th in NBA) where he emerged as a dual offensive threat by his ability to take defenders off the dribble into the paint. He and Chris Paul were two of just three NBA players (Steph Curry being the third) to finish in the Top 20 for 2FG% 3FG%, and true shooting percentage in 2014-15. To break into that third category in 2016-17, DMC will have to address his declining free throw percentage (60.0 FT%). Of course, Carroll’s calling card is gritty, ball-hawking defense. And he provided a glimpse of his abilities during brief regular season action when he gathered a career-best 2.9 steals per 100 possessions (and 1.7 per game) in 2015-16. Recovering from injuries will enhance the Junk Yard Dawg's ability to keep the league’s elite forwards and wings in front of him while sinking his teeth into opponent's offensive gameplans. He plays the power forward capably in small-ball lineups, allowing Kristaps Porzingis a breather while continuing his budding relationship with center Jonas Valanciunas. With DMC and Big Valley in tandem alongside a 3-guard lineup, Toronto posted its best plus/minus (+17.9) during postseason play. The prior season, Atlanta’s top 5-Man unit had Bazemore and Carroll together (+23.4), particularly in the starting lineup after the team’s top 3-point shooter went down during the Eastern Conference Finals. Carroll is the sole non-Cavalier and non-Warrior to have the experience of starting in conference finals during each of the past two NBA seasons. For a team headed by the conference-final-starved leader Chris Paul, that’s one pretty valuable asset. LETHAL OBSESSION PG: Christopher Emmanuel Paul SG: Brandon Xavier Ingram SF: Kenneth Lamont Bazemore, Jr.; DeMarre LaEdrick Carroll PF: Kristaps Porzingis C: Jonas Valanciunas Yo, what’s the word? Guest
With the next pick the JayBird Lady Squawkers select: Jabari Ali Parker: PF, 6'-8" 250lbs, 21 years His initial rookie season started off with him suffering an ACL injury. In his 2nd season he put together a respectable season coming off the injury putting up 14.ppg and 5.2 rpg. His defense needs work but surrounded by C Steven Adams and SF Paul George they should be able to offer a helping hand in covering some of his short comings om the defensive side. On offense, he can be a bull in a china shop. He is more athletic than given credit for especially if he can keep his weight in check. With this pick, my starling lineup is complete along with the man at the helm: Coach: Gregg Popovich PG: Mike Conley SG: Khris Middleton SF: Paul George PF: Jabari Parker C: Steven Adams @AHF is up. Moderators Popular Post AHF Posted August 3, 2016 Author Moderators Popular Post Report Share Posted August 3, 2016 We're excited for this one. Ashley has been chafing a bit at not getting some Cat representation and things are finally aligning just right. We just selected a veteran offensive machine with our last pick so going with someone who has all of his weaknesses covered makes some sense. Older vet? Get some youth. Non-impact defender? Get a defensive beast. Questions about athleticism? Get someone who stands 7 feet tall while moving on the floor like a wing. With the 90th pick in the draft, the U-Niques are excited to select 2016 All-Rookie big man and Lexington alum: Willie Cauley-Stein Quote With Cauley-Stein on the floor this season, Sacramento outscored opponents by 5.1 points per 100 possessions – the highest mark on the team – compared to posting only a 102.2 offensive rating while he sat on the bench, according to NBA.com. Not surprisingly, among all Kings lineups with at least 50 minutes of court-time, a five-player unit featuring No. 00 alongside Cousins, Rondo, Rudy Gay and Darren Collison outscored opponents by a team-best 18.6 points per 100 possessions and recorded the team’s second-highest net rating (21.4) Cauley-Stein was one of two rookies last season (along with Jokic) who beasted on the boards, with blocks and with his steals in showing the defensive prowess that we think will turn him into a perennial All-Defense candidate. WCS's mobility, strength and length allow him to play either PF or C with great effectiveness giving more versatility to the team its lineups. One pleasant surprise was Cauley-Stein's offensive impact. With his ability to run the floor and finish at the rim, the Kings were 3.5 points better on offense when he was on the floor than when he went to the bench. Get ready to see a lot more of this yet to come from this youngster and welcome to the team big Willie! @pimp is on the clock
