That Plumlee we got is garbage. The other one is pretty decent. We should trade him with Millsap to Denver for any number of young guys the Nuggs have plus their lottery pick this year.

Why would they not just sign him themselves. The sign and trades only point is so a team that couldn't normally get him can dump salary

Draft is in 2 days, FAcy starts July 1 - how do we do this now. Suppose Denver likes who falls to them in draft?

I take it back. Denver has $58 mil in guaranteed contracts. If you add capholds for Gallo ($22 mil) and Plumlee ($5.8) that'll leave them with $16 mil in capspace. If they renounce Gallo they can sign Millsap outright.

Miles is extremely athletic and a sound defender but offensively, he's horrendous in the half court set if he's not setting screens. That said, we aren't trying to win, we are just trading the play Hawks Basketball.

Think about your comment though.  If Miles is a good screen setter and can play even decent PnR defense, he's a better fit since Dennis prefers the screen to free himself up rather than using the screener as the roll man.  We all witnessed how horrid Dwight was on the PnR defense in the playoffs vs. Washington.  I definitely don't think Miles is a better player by any means, but could he be a better fit?  Time will tell.

In order for Dennis to be extremely effective on PnR, the roll man much be a threat for more than just dunks. What Antic such an effective PnR big for us was his ability to set great screens and stretch the floor even though he was limited offensively. Plumlee is actually less effective at PnR than even Pero.  Look, I loved this trade. That said, I don't think Plumlee value is that good in this deal. But his fit and attitude is much better than Dwight's. 

Belinelli is the plus value in this deal. Good deal he's on, smart SG, elite shooter and an excellent teammate. He's a specialist but he is a sound one. 

Overall, Dwight just isn't that good but he's not value awful like Bazemore is

You don't know trades can be in the works. The team we need to worry about signing him outright could be Brooklyn

I think Plumlee is a better fit than Dwight. He's not worth anywhere near his contract but if he can get his body right and he's coachable (which I'm certain he is) then he could be a terrific rotational piece or he could start and at the very least not drag the young guys down. This kid loves to have fun and make highlight plays and you can bet your ass that Jason Smith won't be punking him without him getting pissed off. I really need to let go of my Schröder-Bebe summer league alley oop images that I keep seeing but damn I want to believe that Dennis can throw that lob and that Plumlee can throw them down like Dwight can when he's trying hard. 

Soup is right about Bellinelli though as he's a perfect fit for our system and Bud knows him well. We won't have to see Thj out there clanking 3's with nobody to relieve him since we now have a guy who can reliably shoot them under pressure.

Lol what? Moose is absolute garbage at anything but the occasional 3 and making the fire in @JayBirdHawk's pantsuit with his man bun. I swear that kid literally has no balls. Plumlee would put his schnuts all over Moose and Moose would probably thank him for it.

Im not saying he's the second coming and he'll probably end up being dropped and stretch provisioned at some point but you gotta admit that he attacks on both ends and that's something we haven't had in a 7' body in a very, very long time.

Well, I can't speak for the sexual prowess of Moose as well as you can.

 

It doesnt change the fact that Plumlee is terrible. I mean, thats great if the Hawks are trying to tank but there's no way anyone can rationalize this as any sort of upgrade.
