So, yeah, you were probably thrown for quite a loop over the past 24 hours, and had to dig around to find your way back here. I'm terribly sorry about that! We had secured-site issues, and @AHF and I managed to reach our site manager, Dolfan23.

He advised me that the site configuration has been updated, and the server rebooted, allowing me to get back to rambling on here to my heart's content. Please remove any bookmarks of Hawksquawk on your browser that have the secured-site HTTPS signifier and use these active ones (with HTTP instead of HTTPS) instead:

That's the good news.

Bad news?

Dolfan is not into the following the NBA anymore, and really hasn't been for a minute. Just as critical, securing the site with encryption costs money that he is no longer eager to pay in order to keep the site secured. He does intend to commit to basic behind-the-scenes updates. But for all intents and purposes, he's not looking to contribute to this site beyond that.

I'm thankful that he is doing fine, but I also hope someone with similar talents, and will, can find a way to step into his role and keep Hawksquawk.net the best site for dedicated Atlanta Hawks fans on this flat Earth (lol). If you're interested in doing so, drop me a PM and I will forward your e-mail to Dolfan23 so you and him can converse about whatever that all entails.

I can certainly empathize! I was just telling him about how my Philly Pham back home is about to disown me... falling completely out of love with the Sixers over a decade ago, the Phillies and Flyers really before that. And now, with the Eagles having their big weekend coming up, I'm like "oh, yeah, good for y'all, I guess!" I'm more into the prop bets on Sunday than the only team I used to stan for more fervently than the Hawks!

They used to have to grease the light poles with Cheez Wiz to keep me off them after Eagles victories! I still want 'em to trounce Brady's Bunch, but only so the media can be distracted from indignantly replaying last year's SB low-lights (still haven't watched the end of the 4th or OT). Thankfully, I didn't have to help run Eaglesquawk, or whatever they have, on the side, too.
