Looking at how they did Minny and the Knicks last year, it looks to me like the ping-pong odds remain identical BUT if neither team moves up into the Top 3 at Lottery time, this mini-Lottery determines who picks first between them.

So if we win on Friday but both teams miss the top 3 we would pick 4th and Dallas would pick 5th?

yep! And then, Dallas' second-round spot picks ahead of Atlanta's. Orlando messes with that calculus, if they lose tonight.

So the coin flip on Friday will determine if we have a 13.8% or 13.7% chance at the 1st pick and, more importantly, whether our worst case is 6th or 7th.

Due to Miami winning and Milwaukee losing (ugly), Friday will have draft pick implications for the Bucks, who might get to pick in front of us, again.
