Not surprised at the make up of this staff:

Head coach from a losing organization.

Top assistant from a losing organization. (Hunt/Dallas)

Retain assistant from Atlanta's first tank year. (Jent)

Hire developmental assistant from one of the worst organizations at developing talent. (Garnett/Phoenix)

Another assistant from a losing organization. (Hill/Orlando).

Mike Budenholzer and a staff that will reportedly include Darvin Ham, Taylor Jenkins, Charles Lee and others.

One more time....who?

Babcock previously was an assistant coach for Erie of the G League, before that team became a Hawks affiliate. Pierce said player development will be Babcock’s primary responsibility with the Hawks.

Pierce’s staff includes five assistant coaches. They are Melvin Hunt (lead), Marlon Garnett , Chris Jent, Greg Foster and Matt Hill. Jent is the only assistant retained from the staff of Pierce’s predecessor, Mike Budenholzer.
