Trae desperately needs a midrange game.  If he's not physical enough to get to the rim, develop the midrange game.   There have been many PGs in the history of the NBA who weren't athletic freaks, but knew how to score from multiple areas out on the court.   This was one of them . .

Collins is a man, basketball is a contact sport.  It's not serving you take him out because you think something might happen.

Trae has an actual injury even if minor.  It's not serving you to make him play through it.

Damn that.  Collins has hit the deck multiple times because the rest of those guys out there aren't of his caliber.   All it takes is for some clumsy dude to roll into John's knee, and that's it for the season.

I like watching the guy play as much as everyone else.  But this is a glorified scrimmage that means absolutely nothing for a guy that's already proven like Collins.

I'm cool with taking JC out too but hell... He's happy playing for a team that is tanking, keep him happy. lol  

Not too many with his skills want to play for the Hawks. The Hawks need more players like him.

The Lakers quickly shut down Brandon Ingram last year in Summer League, after he came down with cramps.  With Trae out the game, these guys can't even dribble or pass.

Let's get a long look at Spellman for the rest of the Summer League.   Maybe he'll surprise us all, and pull a Kyle Kuzma and start balling.

He's hit the deck because that's his style of play, high-impact rim attacker and board crasher.  He's missed a few games already in SL and is unlikely to play the entirety of the rest of it so let him get some burn in.  If you start babying players with this mentality you might as well apply it to regular season, they won't be playing for anything then either.

I cringe in summer league. There are always 2 or 3 people at a time on the floor playing out of control, diving at legs, etc.  Problem with having A talent on the floor with D talent. People get hurt.
