For those who live outside the US and cant get the video. Man this is the most exciting Hawks offseason since 2005 . Hats off to Mr Slink ..I was skeptical at first but this guy has a vision and his vision is already in play with cap flexibility, multiple draft picks , adding picks that you can get excited about, and avoiding overpaying marginal FA. Who knows if it will pan out, but doing right things on a continuous basis often leads to desired outcomes. Go Hawks!

C'mon McLeist, don't cry to @Spud2nique. He has to specially order his from Cambodia since that's the only place that makes the mythical 4XL's. Premium Member Popular Post JayBirdHawk Posted June 28, 2018 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted June 28, 2018 We might have gotten ourselves a steal in this draft. . Talks to himself like KG . Aggressive like Draymond Green . Have a lil JYD in him. . When dunks he tries to rip the rim off . Intense competitor. . Setting Hawks record, nice.
RedDawg#8
Got to love guys like that. Competitiveness is a valuable and underrated trait. No player is successful without it.
Premium Member Peoriabird Posted June 28, 2018 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 28, 2018 Once I saw his tape, I knew the NBA missed on him just like they did with Huerter. There is no way this guy should have had a 2nd round grade on him.

Maybe I’ll see if Brad is done patting himself on the back in the new/old country.
Premium Member sturt Posted June 28, 2018 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 28, 2018 I was a fan of the Adrien Payne pick. But I see too much of Payne in what I've seen of Spellman to get very excited about that one. ' Interestingly, so did whoever wrote up the NBAdraft.net piece. In fact, I see more of Draymond Green in Payne's college game than I do in Spellman's. He'd have to shed about 10-15 pounds to even be considered in that mold from where I sit. Not drinking that kool-aid.

Not drinking that kool-aid. Dang, sturt. Gotta walk in on a @Spud2nique 'n kg party like ... spud is definitely Carlton. Seriously though, I'm in wait-n-see mode on Spellman. I hate hearing guys having to take special care not to get fat. I mean, you know from like 15 on that you'll at least try to be a pro athlete. Seems 'staying in shape' should be automatic.

EazyRoc
If the guy can defend the PnR and contest shots at the rim, we may have ourselves the steal of the draft. He’s a bit heavier than Draymond and taller, but I can see the comparison.
DrReality
I’m in board but don’t agree with the comparison to Payne......who we traded. Upside is great for him.

Not sure I've seen many top 15 rookies in their 20's benched the way Payne was.
