Premium Member Peoriabird Posted July 19, 2019 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 19, 2019 How many points per game will each player average? Here are my projections Player PPG APG RPG 1. Trae Young 21 10 4.5 2. John Collins 22 2.5 10.5 3. Kevin Huerter 13 3.5 3 4. DeAndre Hunter 11 2 4.5 5. Alex Len 14 2 7.5 6. Cam Reddish 7 1.5 3.5 7. Jabari Parker 16 2 6 8. Allen Crabbe 6 1.2 2 9. Deandre Bembry 5 2 3.5 10 Evan Turner 7 5 3 11. Damien Jones 2 .3 2 12 Bruno Fernando 3 .2 1 The total numbers add up to be way above the league averages but since every player won't play every game, then won't represent what the team will average every game.

Trae = Close less assist Collins = Close but a little high on points and boards but not much. Huerter = Close Hunter = Close Len = Close Reddish = Close Parker = To high. I see 12 - 14 Pts Crabbe = To low. I see 8-10 Pts Bembry, Turner, Jones, Bruno = Close Edited July 19, 2019 by Buzzard

I like it! It's impossible to gauge the rooks tho and you are selling Len a little short
hazer
Don’t forget: Bruno grabbed 10.6 rebounds per game last year. Concerns over his Summer League rebounding are misguided.

Even at only 5 mins/nt he’ll be grabbing more than 1 per.

Preseason should tell us something about how Jones and Bruno will be rotated at the start of the season.

Out of Embiid, Davis, Cousins, Collins, Ayton, KAT, and Noah, only Ayton outrebounded Bruno in college. At’s elite company right der. Bruno would average 1 rpg wearing his warmups never leaving the bench Edited July 19, 2019 by hazer

Bruno would average 1 rpg wearing his warmups never leaving the bench You should be comparing apples to apples based on age, though. Bruno is older than basically all of those guys but Noah. If you look at the numbers, rebounding has a solid correlation between college and NBA production with only assists and blocks getting stronger R^2 values. His rebounding should predict NBA performance dramatically better than, for example, scoring numbers translate. That correlation suggests that Bruno should be pretty solid in rebounding based on his 20.2% TRB%. You can compare that to JC who had a 21.1%, Embiid 20.5%, Cousins 22.5%, Davis 19.0% and Ayton at 21.4%. This would give you hope that Bruno will likely be productive on the boards in the minutes he gets. For a couple current and past Hawk big men (using the second half of their college career if multiyear): Alex Len had a 21.2% TRB% in college and 17.1% in the NBA Dedmon 17.5% in college and 18.2% in the NBA JC 21.1% in college and 17.0% in the NBA No number is perfectly predictive but rebounding is a strong one.
