I don't know, maybe they did. But i haven't seen it. Even so, it still doesn't mean anything. Especially when he's literally now wearing a hat that says, I AM ATL. 

I guess the RENT FREE hat is more applicable for some of yall. 

But maybe the CHILL hat is what ya actually need. 

 

Yeah, could definitely be nothing.  But again, you're not reading what I'm saying.  I'm not saying everyone should tweet Risacher... I'm saying that Trae used to do this and he didn't this year.  It's a change, maybe it means something, maybe it doesn't.  My confidence in any speculation is very low as I don't know the closed door conversations happening

Is it a change though?  Because I went back and searched Trae's timeline and unless he's deleted them all for some reason, he hasn't tweeted about OO, JJ, AJ Griffin or Kobe.  Where does this idea that he tweets out the draftees come from?

Coach Prime (aka Deion Sanders) has a few soundbites about leadership over the last year or so. When asked why he hands out D’s and L’s instead of a captain “C”.

Trae has been a dawg since Day 1. This kid loves hoop, and he turns it up another level when the world is against him. He’s still growing, but he may never be the kind of leader people want him to be. Some dudes just aren’t wired that way. That’s not a negative. The best player doesn’t have to be the leader. He just has to hold himself accountable in the same way that everyone else is expected to.

This is a great video.  I honestly think the biggest thing working against Trae is hyperbolic, agenda driven, NARRATIVE.  He's an exceptional point guard that needs a compliment like any other star.  As long as there is no other threat on the floor, the defense will collapse on him.  He needs shooters, the same way LeBron does.  He doesn't need to be "hidden" on defense because of his size any more that Mookie did.  If there is a knock against him, he's got a "bad shot selection" which people translate as "bad shooter."  One of those you can fix, the other is a matter of talent - which Trae has exceptional amounts of.

I don't buy the GM conversation.  These guys, along with their respective media markets, are doing their part to "plant the seed" and harvest the benefits when/if Trae becomes available.  Either because he is then available and/or they've successfully driven the price down.  We would not be having any of this conversation if we were in NY, LA, or Miami or if Trae had not gotten injured (and we had a complete team) in 2021.

Trae is an ELITE passer and has ELITE vision. That makes him a top 2-3 PG in the NBA, imo. Add in his shooting and overall scoring abilities and he's a top 15-20 player in the NBA.

Now surround him with defense and see how good the team can be. 

What's striking from videos like this is juat how good of a shot he gets for his teammates.

Bogi won some type of Atlanta media award didn’t he?  He’s the face/ voice for me despite not quite reaching Dirk-level English.  He was as demonstrative as DJ in huddles, probably the most collaborative with the coaching staff.  Anyone who’s close to Jokic I want talking their ass off.  He’s one of the most communicative sh*t defenders in the league lol.  
 

OO isn’t the most in-depth talker of the game in interviews but his humor and confidence shows.
