KB21
Yes. Capela is the more athletic option and is better at switching. Adams is a good positional defender.

bleachkit
Teams are treating JC like he's Mo Bamba or something. A high upside guy that's been stuck on the bench or hampered by injuries. Um, no. JC is a borderline all star. A guy with brilliant activity around the basket, he can even step out to the perimeter and hit threes. GTFOH with the low ball offers. 1

Popular Post Buzzard
This is more like it and what we heard earlier. Teams are asking about Collins, we are not shopping him. Quote Why Are Teams Calling About John Collins? Bouncy 22-year-old big man John Collins is a nightly supplier of near-All-Star numbers. He's one of only five players averaging at least 19 points and 10 rebounds, and he's displaying substantial growth as a shooter and shot-blocker. Why on earth would the rebuilding Atlanta Hawks ever consider letting him go? Good question, and one they couldn't even answer. When Atlanta has gone center-searching, some clubs have asked about Collins, per ESPN's Zach Lowe, thinking the Hawks might be fretting over upcoming extension talks. But Atlanta has "shown no interest in dealing Collins on any of the general terms bandied about." Does this mean he's untouchable? Probably not. Few players are. Even with his growing comfort on the perimeter, he's still most lethal when exploding to the rim, which could get tricky if the Hawks invest heavily in an interior anchor. But that's a dilemma for a different day. Unless Atlanta is blown away by an offer, it shouldn't give a second thought to any Collins inquiries. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2873056-nba-rumors-tracker-buying-and-selling-the-latest-nba-trade-buzz 2

Premium Member Sothron Posted February 3, 2020 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 3, 2020 I would be shocked if we moved Collins for anything less than getting a young superstar like KAT brought back here.

Spud2nique
The Celtics have 3 significant wings. Tatum Brown Hayward Hayward is the only one that would most likely be in a Houston deal. I can’t see the Celts dumping the other two.

Yeah I figured Ainge would offer Hayward + one of their Upcoming 1st rd draft picks for capela which would really hurt our chances.

Yes but if Hayward is making 32 mill and Capela is making 14 or whatever, I’m saying that 3rd team would provide the missing 18 mill in a 3 way deal with Houston and Boston. But for Houston alone, they can't take on 32M and only ship out 14M. They still have to match salaries (with the usual wiggle room around how to do that). A third team doesn't change the minimum amount of salary that Houston would have to ship out to take on $32M more. Where a third team makes it easier is by allowing a team over the cap to shed salary - not add more.
