My guy just got back to me on Reddish. He said this is not true but Atlanta has been getting calls for Reddish and the trades offers I reported last night are the latest offers. He said he has not heard of Atlanta offering Reddish much less 20 for a move up pick swap. 

He said Reddish could be moved but it will be very costly based on what has transpired in the last couple of weeks. 

He said he's confident Dunn could be moved tonight. He said there is no market for Bruno right now.

Ok.  My apologies Supes.   I appreciate all the info but i thought there was something i was missing.   Travis said this basically 3 months ago that there was  no way they would just let him walk away for nothing.   What i want to hear is he's going to be a Hawk next year.

The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly shopping the No. 20 pick in the 2021 NBA draft and small forward Cam Reddish in an effort to move up.

According to The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor, the Hawks have been gauging the interest of teams picking late in the lottery during Thursday night's event.

O'Connor noted the Hawks might target North Carolina big man Day'Ron Sharpe if they can get into the lottery.

Sharpe isn't even projected to go in the first round in most mock drafts.  Why would the Hawks trade up into the lottery to get him?

To add, if the Hawks were to trade up, then I'm 95% certain it would be to get ahead of Golden State to take Duarte.  Sharpe isn't even the big they will take if they decide to go that direction.  If they take a big, it will be Isaiah Jackson.

Fact 1:  Cam Reddish will make < 4.7 million this year.

Fact 2: The 7th pick in this year's lottery will make $4.55 million.

Fact 3: The average player salary in the NBA in 2020 was $8.2 million.

Fact 4: Reddish won't be due to renegotiate that salary until the 23/24 season.

Fact 5: No one the Hawks draft this year would start over anyone in their starting 5. No one would start over Trae, Bogi, Hunter, Collins or CC.

 

Okay so just take a look at the facts.  Forget all the click baiting or anything else.  Based on his production so far, Cam has been an average NBA player (early season injuries this year hurt his stats). At 4.7 and 5 million the next 2 years he's a freaking bargain. There is no rush on the part of the Hawks to move Cam for 2 more years salary wise. He will only improve the next 2 years and up his value.

The only benefit of the Hawks moving Cam for 11 or 13 is a salary reduction. That's it, end of story. Cam's performance to pay to potential ratio's are 2x to 10x value. There is no onus to on the Hawks to move him before the trade deadline in 2023. You don't trade him for a backup and there is no real cap savings to trade him. All of these rumors are bogus and don't deserve the bandwidth being spent on them.  

The only conceivable scenario when Cam is traded is one where we lose Collins in a sign - n - trade and take back Cam's replacement + a pick and can still draft for ourselves at 20. I have no idea who in the "F$#%" is generating that rumor but it makes 100% zero sense or cents.

You can't even blame it on injuries because Cam would have to pass a physical to be traded and if there is something permanent the deal would be voided. Its just nonsense and foolishness.

I won't say the guy's rumor is accurate, however, my source** says Sharpe is a guy who may surprise and end up late-lotto.

My theory on all the Cam talk is some team is trying to leverage in trade talks (probably NY) that they can get Cam if they want so lower your requirements on player X to make us take him instead. This is all probably rumormongering to lower the value on someone else in the market to acquire him cheaper.

There is no world where Travis could save face trading away Cam unless it brought back a legitimate star. No way it could be to bring back a pick.
