Premium Member Popular Post Diesel Posted June 26, 2021 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted June 26, 2021 We are better as the underdogs. We were becoming the media darlings. I think we needed to see that we can lose. We can definitely come back from this but there are some lessons to be learned here. Trae, if you're going to shoot those shots, you need to be back on defense. The run outs were killing us.

I just think NBA series tend to go game to game as far as matchups and adjustments like boxing these teams are feeling one another out. It’ll be a long series. We will be ok.

Sometimes, a good grounding helps us get back to what makes us win. It's the running them of most rocky movies. We needed to know that they do have weapons and they have shown their hand. We needed to see it up close and now we can plan how to beat it.
Thomas
Remember when the Celtics and Lakers of the 80s would have 20 point leads against each other in playoff games and lose it anyway at the end. This is different yes but it is still one game. So see you at home folks and go from there.

That edge makes them better.
Popular Post TheBigETrain
We needed this loss, not because we are better as underdogs. We needed it to get much needed playing time into Reddish and Dunn. Jrue is a problem offensively and I think Dunn needs to get more minutes next game to lock him down. Reddish is needed next games as Bogi is a massive liability at the moment. Edited June 26, 2021 by TheBigETrain

This team won a squeaker in game one. It's not like they put on an overwhelming performance.

Each game is completely different than the other.
Alex
I watched until half time. Wasn’t on live TV and skimmed through the third and ultimately skipped the fourth quarter altogether. They got their asses run out of the gym. In the playoffs every loss counts the same so the margin of defeat matters none. Regroup, refocus, adjust, and continue to do things that work. No reason to hang your head.

Moderators Popular Post AHF Posted June 26, 2021 Moderators Popular Post Report Share Posted June 26, 2021 While I certainly hope we can learn valuable lessons from this, if I am pressed I think I could have lived with being up 2-0. 1
Gray Mule
Live and learn. Die and forget it all. Wouldn't learn nearly as much if this had been a close game and we lost. Bucks came out with vengeance in their heart. They got it. Made the Hawks look like a third rate team. Don't forget, this was the same team that took the Hawks lightly in game one and lost. Bucks couldn't play much better. Hawks couldn't play much worse. Trae was under constant pressure all three quarters he played. Bucks owned the paint. Trae tried to force some plays. Turnovers. Lessons learned. We needed to learn some stuff. We did.
Popular Post RedDawg#8
It was humbling to say the least, and I think that was the silver lining. You don't go in to someone else's house and shimmy shake, throw trick passes and ultimately show them up and not expect them to punch you back. This was a must win for Milwaukee. This was also a pride game for them after we basically disrespected them on their floor and had everyone in the media laughing or yelling at them. People were saying Brook Lopez didn't deserve to be on the court. Saying Jrue wasn't living up to his status as an elite defender. Saying coach Bud was foolish for his defensive scheme. All the hype was behind us, what Trae did, and how audacious he was to do that in the Conference Finals. Well guess what folks, Karma is a B*, and that B* is undefeated. Milwaukee did what they were supposed to do to us after game 1. We made them look foolish, they returned the favor in their own way. No antics, just scoreboard. All things are square now. It's a series. We weren't about to just cake walk pass a veteran team with real title aspirations. We can stop listening to the hype, just like we stopped listening to the hate. It's time to get back to work and take these boys seriously because they are not going out without a fight. I don't think they are that superior to us. They had a hot shooting night early and we gave away the ball on a silver platter all night long. Get back to the basics. Protect the ball, box out, rebound, and give all out effort while in the game. Nothing comes easy at this stage in the playoffs. Time to work. 5

They are more seasoned than us as a group being in these battles before but we are a different kind of young team with a lot of moxie to our game and confidence. Yup, it’s definitely a series like you said, another possible 7 gamer, definitely 6 for sure I don’t see either team getting knocked in 5. I still say Lopez is a liability out there. Not sure if we play possum and expose him later on or really just exploit and expose him in the next game or two. Lotta interesting back and forth for the coaches with the schemes no doubt. This is fun. In other years it was looking forward to the draft. This is what it’s all about. Love it. 2
bird_dirt
It's not the first time this team went on the road and won the first game, only to lose the second before coming back home. Not the second time, either. Let's hope the pattern continues with the final results.
