Wurider05
Is he ready for some minutes this series?
warcore
I thought he looked ready. Certainly has more rust to shake off on the shot but he looked aggressive on both ends. There were a couple times he was a first-step slow getting beat on the defensive end. Maybe that was because he was pressing a little too much.
Popular Post NBASupes
He looked off a second on his reactions but his shot looked more fluid as we saw in his workouts but he still needs work on his shot. His ball handling looked massively different. His handle was tight, something I don't think I've ever seen from Cam. Defensively, he just was a tad jumpy and he is learning to defend at this level again. He gonna need reps. Talent wise, Cam has rare talent, he hasn't played 5v5 since the injury. Not even in practice to be this damn good is extremely hard to do. CP3 missed 10 days and looked a shell. Cam looks a lot better offensively but like I said, Cam is an extremely flawed player but if he cleans up a number of those flaws, he's a superstar talent. He could be impactful sooner than later. I was impressed. For me, Cam and Dunn were my highlights. I really liked what Dunn brought to the table. His defense showed up to a degree. I want to see him on Holiday. 2

In Dunn's first return, he looked gas'd and slower than normal. He looked better tonight, still not quite himself. Reddish looked like a good player who hadn't played in 2 months. Its obvious he worked on his mechanics shooting. His feet are together, there was consistency on the bend and push from shot to shot. His elbows stayed in. I don't think he'll ever be a 40% three point shooter but you still have to have steady mechanics.
dalamchops
physically he looks ready, but as usual he takes way too many contested shots. dude showed he can get to anywhere on the floor if he wants to
Popular Post Gray Mule
In last night's game, forget the score. Series is tied, 1-1. The best thing about last night's game, bench players for both teams played the 4th quarter. That means a lot to these players who, in a tight game, would remain on the bench. Hawks won the 4th quarter, bench game! Cam looked like he belonged. Dunn looked ready. When the Hawks finish watching film of the 1st three quarters and get the tears out of their eyes, the film of the 4th quarter just might bring a smile to their tear streaked face. Hoping Knight is OK. These bench players may not see the floor again in the playoffs. But, if they do, this experience will be a help. If they don't, they will always remember getting to play in the 4th quarter. Memories are made of things like last night.
Premium Member MarylandHawk Posted June 26, 2021 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 26, 2021 His play was the best thing about that game. He got extended run and built a little confidence. Nate was also watching like a Hawk and I think Cam earned some more minutes. His hands on defense are just phenomenal.
Spud2nique
Depending on how healthy he is I’d look to him for heavier minutes because he looked great in D and his offense was nice too. Trae Huerter Cam Collins Capela I’d start with this for game 3.
Popular Post Gray Mule
HAWKS - - 28 BUCKS - - -22 Yep. That's the 4th quarter score last night. Hawks starters got their ass handed to them on a silver platter. Maybe they got too full of themselves. Bucks let all the air out of their balloon. Subdued. Embarrassed. Mad at the world and mad at themselves. If the Atlanta Hawks don't come out with fire in their eyes Sunday night, it's going to be a short series. We all knew that the Bucks were a good team and we knew that their all star was deadly in the paint. Last night, those three balls that didn't fall in game one found nothing but net in game two. That 60% free throw shooter, who takes 30 seconds to shoot, didn't miss. How did our bench look? Better than our starters looked! Series tied, 1-1. On to game 3.
DieHardHAWK
He looked rusty at first then started to shake it off...Jrue crossed him up which helped wake him up...he wasn't shy about shooting but then again that unit didn't provide much offense so he had no choice. I was extremely impressed with one play where he drove and stopped for the hesitation and got the defender in the air and got an easy lay up. Hope he takes Solo minutes.

Premium Member Popular Post hawkman Posted June 26, 2021 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted June 26, 2021 Cam looked like the best available SF on the team in the 4th quarter. A little rusty when the game mattered but got loose in the 4th and looked like the best player on the court to me. Right now the team needs wings that can defend and put the ball in the basket when needed. He can do that right now. I noticed the third stringers made a concerted effort to get him the ball so this was an "evaluation" I guess. I think Nate gives him more meaningful minutes in Game 3.
Premium Member Sothron Posted June 26, 2021 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 26, 2021 We need Cam. I wish to God we had Hunter healthy because he could guard whoever we needed him to guard. Cam isn't as good defensively as Hunter but he's only perimeter guy we got near that level. I liked what I saw from Cam and Dunn. Both of them need to get minutes.

I have seen nothing to indicate that he wasn't. Just a matter of coach not trusting him and wanting to stick with the rotation that got us here. Time for a change when you are giving hugely important minutes to Agent 0/0/0/0/0/2 who has struggled on defense. 2

EazyRoc
I don’t know…last thing we need is a player with the emotionally fragile label to blow it big in the playoffs and have it haunt him the rest of his career
