He and Fox are on the verge. 1
Premium Member niremetal Posted July 13, 2021 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 13, 2021 Choosing for what? One-on-one tourney? Ja. Pick-up game at Piedmont? Luka. To be the centerpiece of this team given the other pieces that are already in place? Trae by 100 million light years.
Moderators AHF Posted July 13, 2021 Moderators Report Share Posted July 13, 2021 I might answer differently if I was a fan of a different team because there are some very talented players on this list but in choosing for the Hawks I would rank them: Trae - Our first true offensive star since Nique and the best potential MVP candidate since Petit last won one for the Hawks. His fit with Atlanta is perfect and he has demonstrated exceptional talent in both the regular season and post-season. Can't move off of him. Luka - Looks like a generational talent. The way the press has treated him vs the way they have treated Trae breeds resentment of Luka on this site but just looking at him as a player it is exceptional. There is some worry there with the front office turnover and negative comments coming out from KP that you don't see with Trae. Ja Morant - He is a beast. Definite franchise PG. Mitchell - Big step down from the first 3 guys for me but Mitchell is an outstanding lead scorer. Fox - As a UK fan, I love Fox but he is a definite step down from the first 3 guys and hasn't done as much as Mitchell. Sexton - Not in the conversation with these others.
