Remember, "Catch a falling star!"  No.  That song was before your time.

Kings are a changed team - Much improved.  They remade their entire roster.

Jalen Johnson can not replace Collins.  That fruit hasn't ripened enough.  But, having said this, he is able and willing to give it a try if our coach will trust him enough to allow him an opportunity.  His athletic ability will help a lot.  Out three games hurts.  Out four to six weeks - We sure hope not.

The only player we have that we just can't do without is Trae Young.  Collins carries a big load.  Others can and will step up to fill the gap.  All wins have been hard to come by for the entire season.  This will not change.  We will hang in there.  We are not dead fruit because of this.

1. We have Delon, and people don't stop to think that he could be deployed at SG.

2. We don't have much space below lux tax, and don't seem especially interested in going into that territory at the moment.

3. There's likely to be some competition for him (obviously), likely driving up his price tag.

So, I'd thought maybe if we swept the games b/t the deadline and the ASG break, the GM might be tempted.... but alas.

Besides, one of the few things the GM said after the deadline that could be taken as meaningful about the buyout market--he's preoccupied with disturbing chemistry as little as possible with any additions he might make. And replacing your back-up PG is about as much chemistry disturbance as could happen, of course.

Do you ever question:  "What the Sam Hill is our coaches doing?"

Our losing brand of basketball continues.  We trade for Kevin Knox.  He never plays meaningful minutes.  One of our starters goes down.  Hawks call up three from the G League.  No meaningful minutes.

Hawks continue to lose.  Coaches play less players.  Draw it in tight.  Are our players no good?  If so, why are they still here?  If they are good, why can't they get meaningful minutes?  Apparently, the coaches don't trust these other players.  They might be the cause that we lost the game.  Well, we lost any way.

When the Hawks continue to lose, we all ask, why?  Lack of talent?  Lack of compatibility?  Blame the owners?  Blame the GM?  Blame the coaches?  Blame the players?

Giddy's passes to the shooters are tremendous.

While OKC is just starting their rebuild, at some point, they will either move SGA or Giddey for a star like SAC did. Maybe it's not next year but 2024, I could see OKC start to make a push to trying to win.
