Delon now has a higher defensive box than Rudy freaking Gobert.  Luka the only real outlier near those rankings.  Only PGs above him are CP3, Patrick Beverly, and GP Jr.  Caruso was in his own class before he went down.  Without him and OO (the other only Hawk with a positive box) we’d surely be dead last in defense.

This coaching staff shakeup was a monumental mistake.  Solid coaching is how you get minus defenders to approach neutrality at least.

Here’s my thinking. It’s like they are both your kids right? You like them both equally right? Right. But you’re at a theme park with rides, one has to go first,

Its Brate for me even though Huerter is home grown and I’m always partial to homegrown but Brate is a more consistent shot and play maker and overall a better player right now.

Even 2K put him as a starter but they got Huerter back in now, F that.

Falcons have their #1 wide receiver banned from the  NFL.  Caught betting on NFL games.

That did free up 11 million in cap space for the Falcons, which was really needed.

The Atlanta Dream have flushed the old team down the drain.  Recently a new owned took over.  Then they added a new GM, a new head coach and staff.  Most of the old Dream players have been traded away.  They moved from playing home games in the Hawk's nest and now play where the Skyhawks live.

Atlanta Hawks continue to live just under the .500 mark.  They have a lot of pretty good NBA players but only one who might be called great.  They have several draft picks coming in the next few summers.  Yet, if they can't play, they are useless.  Did Travis blow the last draft?  Apparently.  Actions speak louder than words.  None of our young players can play.  We lose.  They sit on the pine.

I am not remotely convinced that we blew the draft.  We have a lot more veteran players than the past 5 years.  There is a desperation to win as we've been playing behind the 8 ball all season.  This is like when Thibs rides his starters for close to 40 minutes every night.  The veterans give us a better shot to win.

Additionally we haven't had many blowouts to give rookies PT.

Throwback Thursday: Remember back in the early 90's when rookies were signing massive contracts out of college? Webber - 15 years/$74 million,  Glenn Robinson - 10years/$68 million.   Just Crazy money for guys who had yet ot play a game.
