Pretty awesome game by everyone.  Capela and Bogi coming to life.  Hunter had some good moments. 
 

Nice ball movement.  We can build off this game.

We not gonna do that. Everybody plays a part. Trae not putting himself in scoring position when he doesn’t have the ball is another thing. He’ll just stand way out past the hash mark outside of the play when he doesn’t have the ball

Just got back from the game, looking forward to reading this thread front to back when I have down time at work tomorrow -- I assume after this victory over the #1 seed Wizards a lot of people here think we're ready for that Larry O'Brien trophy come next summer.  That is, of course, if the reactions are comparable to what I read in the Sixers game thread.  I digress.

• Really nice to see some better offensive flow this game.  It's clear to me that Nate wants all the guys to have some level of minimal playmaking effort.  JC and Capela are still building some nice chemistry.  Reddish had a nice drive and easy kick to Gallo for a 3.  Hunter is getting better.
• Trae is getting better at better.  He is adding discipline to his game.  It's clear he is valuing winning over everything right now.  He had two plays that shocked me in a good way: first one he crossed and lost his defender in deep 2 territory, but instead of going for the highlight he fed JC in the low post for a nice shot (he got fouled and made both).  The other one was similar when Trae decided not to take a long open 3 but moved the ball and got some nice action going that led to a bucket.  His shot selection was nice this game and it shows in the results
• Collins - as I mentioned above, he's becoming a better playmaker from the post.  6 assists tonight, really nice to see because we will need different looks to make a real run in the playoffs
• Bogi - the guy can shoot, we need to find him for as many open looks as we can.
• Reddish -- had some pretty sloppy plays but I still liked what I saw tonight.  Can't forget he's still a kid right now and is barely into his second set of 82 games on the floor.  I like that he's aggressive (Trez was still moving his feet on that charge that was called) and trying to get to the basket.  If he can become a big thread cutting/driving it will open up a lot of our offense
• Hunter had a decent game tonight but I still don't think he's 100%, interested to see how he progresses through the season
• Fun fact: no one missed a free throw tonight.  The teams were 45/45... I don't know what the record is but that's pretty incredible... noticed it in the 3rd quarter and couldn't believe the streak held to the end...

It's both....Trae has to move without the ball and his teammates have to actually look for him.

What are YOU talking about?  We had a 12 point lead for most of the 2nd minute.

Maybe there is something wrong with my Eyes but at no point under 2 minutes did we have a 12 point lead and that lead went down to 7 win over a minute to go in the game.  Reddish took a 3 point shot with 45 seconds to go in the game.

Definitely something wrong with your eyes lol the game was over and it was an open 3.  Not really a big deal.  Definitely not the 1 thing we should be focusing in on after a nice win where the Hawks looked much better and beat a solid Wizards team

I don't focus on wins and losses only how the team and each player is performing and some players have to get better.  I definitely was most impressed with John Collins.  He set the tone early and sparked the offense and defense.  I wasn't impressed with the effort from the bench.  Their defense was not good

Actually it didn't.  It got as low as 7 points after the Dinwiddie and 1.  On the next possession, Cam draws a foul late in the shot clock, and makes 2 FTs to put the Hawks up by 9.  

 

Your original point was talking about the 3s at the end of the game, so I'll focus on that:

 

- Cam takes a 3 with 2:24 to go and the Hawks were up by 12.  It was late in the shot clock.

- Trae takes a 3 with 2:01 to go and the Hawks were still up by 12.  It was early in the clock.  That quick shot led to an easy score by the Wiz, because no one was back on defense.

- Cam takes a 3 with 49.5 seconds to go and the Hawks up by 9.   It was early in the shot clock, but he was wide open.  Capela gets the offensive rebound from that shot.  Collins ends up getting fouled, makes 2 FTs, and we're up by 11.  

 

Sometimes, we tend to complain about minor things and overlook all the good that we did.

What specifically do you want Trae to do, when he doesn't have the ball?

Great game tonight. Defense got a little sloppy in the second quarter. Love seeing Bogi and Gallo have games like tonight. It bothers me profoundly that we have fans on this board that literally only show up to attack whatever the target player(s) are on a yearly basis. Even when target player(s) have good games it is dismissed as a hot streak or some other excuse. 

Can we please have a season where we don't do this? Is this too much to ask? I hate AgendaSquawk with a passion.
