I think it depends.  He hasn't exactly exploded and carried the team in his average game without Trae.  I'm assuming nobody thinks Trae is negatively affecting his block or rebound numbers so focusing purely on points.

Here are his games the last two years without Trae:

Orlando:  28 points

Philly: 17 points

Knicks: 20 points

Bucks: 30 points

Jazz: 17 points

Heat: 20 points

Bucks: 18 points

Pistons: 14 points

Philly: 21 points

Bucks: 4 points

Bucks: 19 points

That is an average of 18.9 points per game.  JC averaged 17.6 points last year and 17.2 this year so I would hesitate to call that a "tremendous increase" especially when your FG% drops in those games.

Morey is starting to crack.  Like I have been saying... the closer we get to the deadline, the more desperate he will become.  He can't waste an Embiid season.  That's what you're hearing from his camp. The statement "we probably won't reach a deal by the deadline"... That too is an elegant lie. 

Morey has John Wayned his way into he looks up and it's only Travis left on the dancefloor.  And right at this moment Travis is feeling up the girl that he's with. 

Our team being successful and looking good is increasing the desperation for Morey... because he was working Travis when we were bad.   Now that Sacramento has left the Dance...  We got the best cha-cha in town.  Before it's all over, that price is going to come down a lot.

There has been a lot of talks recently about Simmons and the Kings, specifically when it comes to De’Aaron Fox, but there is no guarantee that a deal gets done despite Morey’s connection with Kings GM Monte McNair. Morey on that situation: I can tell you that for sure, there are deals with the Sacramento Kings that I think would work. Will those deals ever happen? I have no idea. Are there just trade deals with the Kings? Probably not. Is it multiple teams? Probably, but for sure there are deals that are possible that would go over our line.

Since @AHF told me to continue to please sharing information from the sources as well as encouraging @thecampster and @NBASupes I will say this. This isn't new as in today but something told me about a week ago.

The mental health issues with Simmons are legit. LIke...this isn't a ploy to get paid by his agency. This guy has issues that are being helped with qualified mental health experts. This has scared some teams off Simmons completely. Morey's bargaining has decreased the longer this has dragged on much as everyone here pretty much predicted.

it makes me lean to waiting to make that trade in the offseason but I don't think Philly can afford to wait. That could mean two ships sailing by in the night in terms of us trading for him.
