Not gonna come from DET so he wants to get traded to a place that needs to invest in his promise again, I guess.

We have no proof.  Only clues.  It will be a long time before we can be sure.

Cam Reddish may make the starting all star team some day.  Kevin Knox may be out of the NBA before then.  That draft pick may be a dud - useless.

Other guess.  Cam doesn't make the starting five on the future all star team. KK proves that he is a serviceable player and that draft pick turns out well.

Whatever happens, Atlanta has Trae Young and most of us are happy with him.  All the rest is just good vibes!

Yeah, I'm hyperbolizing but I do believe his play was causing tension.  When you have a roster as deep as we do, and everyone is having to sacrifice, the fact we had a guy that wanted out (and it was an open secret he wanted out) who was chucking shots, not playing within the flow of the offense, and taking other guys minutes -- it's going to cause issues, and that much is clear to me based on what we saw.  

I still hope Cam matures a little bit and plays better but even if he becomes league MVP this was a move that we had to make and it doesn't change my stance on the trade.

It will be interesting to see what gets done at the deadline.  All of these egregious prices will come down and some of the buyers (us included) aren't going to be as desperate as these teams are hoping.

It's fair to say that Cam being a "locker room cancer" is overblown as I don't think his locker room character was the issue. However, the locker room seemingly became unhealthy when other players became aware of his trade request causing awkwardness inside the locker room (mentioned per an article from The Athletic):

I believe there will be one realistic offer on the table from Philly  or Morey rather for Simmons near the end of the deadline.

 

But the Hawks or Schlenk rather may not be  AS willing to do the move as he was earlier in January.

I believe you have to look at how it went down.

We were doing bad.  Travis approached Morey about Simmons.   Morey saw our desperation and others.  He tried to hitch Harris to the trade.   Travis said no to Harris.  Morey said if you really want Simmons, find a trade for Harris.   We started winning.  And Travis motivation to find a trade for Harris went like this:

 

Then Sactown fell out of the deal...  And Morey asked Travis has he found a trade yet and Travis said...

And the Hawks kept winning and as the Deadline approaches Morey is like:

And the National Media is like Morey is wasting an MVP Embiid year if he doesn't get a deal done and Morey is Like:
