Who?

Time out.

I mean, you people really have to stop watching loudmouths who get paid merely for being loud and having an opinion. Really. Please.

Loudmouth opinions are only that, whether they're on ESPN or pick your cable news network. It's a form of soft porn, and it doesn't benefit adult dialogue in any way. People who weren't coaches or scouts or GMs or players... whose only legitimacy is that they watch sports... like the rest of us... aren't. (Legitimate.)

(Thought bubble: stu hates loudmouths with opinions?)

*gasp

Do you .... hate me, stu?

Seriously though, it's one of the reasons I haven't watched BSPN in over 15 years.  They don't even pretend to put actual talent on air anymore.

In spud's defense though, it can be a good information source to gauge what's going on.  I'm sure spud doesn't look to loud-a** to shape his opinions.

Having heard spud on the radio a couple times, he's actually very thoughtful and always leaves the hosts impressed.  No cap (is that what the kids say now?)

Actually raises a pretty interesting thought.  I think a lot of folks here post based on a persona that doesn't totally match their "real life" selves.  I, for example, am a pretty serious dude irl.  But no one would know that based on my posts here.

Ooh, that's deep 🤔

At this point does it really make a difference if he formally asks outs vs sandbagging it on the court as a way out  :er:

For real. I personally see doing what he is doing as wayyyy worse than asking for a trade.

Just own the fact that you don’t want to be there. But isn’t this how it started in Houston for him before formally asking for a trade? His shtick is tiresome.

I'm not asking for a trade. But my people are leaking to Woj that I want a trade. That way, I can ask for a trade without technically asking for a trade.

All so he can say...I did not ask for a trade.  Just own it dude.

And how are people not giving him a mountain of sh*t for this?  This is far worse than what Simmons is doing.

Three team deal proposed earlier

Brooklyn: Gallo, Bogi, Thybulle, Okongwu

Atlanta: Simmons, Curry

Philly: Harden

We get Simmons, Philly gets harden and Brooklyn gets veteran shooting along with two excellent young defenders with upside.

Why would Brooklyn do that deal? Also can Brooklyn take on that many contracts?

Yeah, I will be pissed if Harden deal gets done today.

Get your popcorn ready...

I think that a Harden deal gets done.  Prolly for Simmons.   The recent slide by BKLN is a motivating factor for them to do something.   They can't go into the offseason with a banged up Harden and KD.   I think their damage control will be to get the best package for Harden.  I dont think they really want Simmons and would try to pull in another team (like Atlanta).  They need some shooters and we have a few.

Hadn't even thought of that aspect, but I'd be inclined to agree... me being one who prefers to give the benefit of a doubt on things I can't actually know.

My premise is that I just don't like that illegitimate people essentially game the system and make money from doing essentially nothing that anyone should care about.

It's a philosophical thing. Society is generally better off without illegitimate loudmouths getting spotlights. So I subscribe to the idea to never help support that.

Maybe so. Then again, maybe people feel more latitude to just be themselves among people who otherwise have no effect on their lives anyhow.

I'm sure it's a mix.

Let's be clear. I hate loudmouths with opinions... with a bigger stage than mine and thus making big money that I don't just because... just because...  someone help me here... I can't even offer a rational explanation for how people like SAS got where they are.
