Adrian Wojnarowski: The Nets will get the Sixers’ 2022 first-round pick unprotected with a right to defer until 2023 and a 2027 first-round pick protected 1-to-8, sources tell ESPN. The 2027 pick would roll over to 2028 protected 1-to-8 again. The pick turns into two seconds and $2M in 2029.

Trae would be wise to ask for a trade. Trying to carry a bunch of role players will not work out.

People can say that the Hawks are a "Young team" but that alone only means so much. There has been little improvement from Collins, Hunter and KH. None if them scare other teams. I know people like Hunter, but he isn't anything more than a decent 3D player.

He doesn't really attack the basket, his rebounding is poor and he isn't much of a passer.

Trae is the only notable threat on the roster.

Brooklyn called his bluff with Simmons.  The Hawks could have done this but evidently backed away too soon.

Okay forget the player's names for a second.

 

32 year old combo guard, top 10 nba player, MVP level player.

for

25 year old 4 position player, DOPY candidate, MVP candidate + 44% 3PT sharp shooter + legit 7 footer - 4 time former rebounding champion and 2 1st round picks with only 1 with protections 1-8.

 

This is the stuff of Biblical stories.  Morey held out for that deal. He gave up arguably the best backup center in the NBA this season, one of the best shooters in the NBA, 2 1st rounders and Ben Simmons for a 32 year old with an injury history and a history of disgruntledness???
