His perimeter defense is ass... We need good perimeter defenders at every position around Trae..If we gonna switch the way we do...

Our perimeter defense is atrocious and it's our biggest need right now.  We have some help in theory with Hunter/Cam but because Trae always has to hide, we cannot have other defensive weak points in our wings.  And as many things as Capela is good at, skilled centers feast on him which is why we're constantly doubling and giving up wide open 3s. 

I'm hopeful for the future though -- I think OO can develop into a much better and more well rounded player than Capela and Gallo will be gone who is also a massive liability on defense.  JC has improved A LOT on that end and if we can magically get Cam and Hunter healthy at the same time we should improve quite a bit.

However, we need good perimeter defense on the floor with and without Trae. 

Some of that will be solved when Hunter and Cam gets back.   So hold your horses.

But we need somebody on that bench at the PG position who can run an offense and play defense. 

Miami is not giving up Herro. 

So...  Beverley, Smart, or Mills comes to mind.   We already know that Rondo doesn't fit.

You still holding out hope on Hunter and Cam? I just hope they can string a few games together without getting hurt at this point..

Ok, what All Star caliber PFs are elite perimeter defenders? What we need is for our wings to guard their guys, and we need Trae to be a little better than absolutely abysmal.

I'll take that PG just to run the offense...it is so anemic when Trae sits.....4 point in 5+ minutes to start the 4th.
