I was mostly being facetious, obviously it would be amazing if our drafted core got us a chip but I don't think that's the most realistic path.  But I do genuinely think we have enough talent that it could be a possibility, especially if there are no stars wanting to come to Atlanta.  With Trae as our centerpiece, the star player would have to be an elite two-way wing or an elite two-way center, and there are not many of those out there.  Someone like Zach Lavine would be so detrimental to our defense I really don't think we could go all the way with him and trae as a defensive backcourt

I think Iggy was a key addition via trade for Golden State.  Not sure if they win without him or not pre-Durant.  Not a coincidence that they won with Iggy as the NBA Finals MVP.

Cam Reddish’s confidence

The confidence and aggression that he and the Hawks want him to play with has been on full display through five games.

He’s 8-of-17 on catch-and-shoot jumpers this season and 20-of-45 on every other field goal attempt. Limiting those attempts where he settles for those pull-up stepback jumpers would make him that much better than what he’s shown so far.

Reddish has been the Hawks’ best bench player this season. He’s been the playmaker on that second unit, a role McMillan likes him in, even though many Hawks fans want him to start. It doesn’t seem likely right now, which is fine. Reddish has a role he’s thriving in right now and if he continues playing this way, it gives the Hawks a massive boost with different lineup combinations they can use him in.

The last 2 games have been brutal all around, particularly his mechanics on the 3pt shot.....0-6 from 3, drops his 3pt percentage to 38.1%.

It was all good two games ago. Vets like Lou and Gallo start playing. Cam gets out of rhythm shots and his production wanes.

So, I'm just gonna say it...  I'm all-in on Cam.  I don't care about his consistency or control right now.  The potential is there for something special.  Unless we are getting a legit young star in return, I'm officially ride or die with him.

+100 to this. It's time for people to accept that he needs shots and touches to get into a rhythm offensively. Once he gets going, you can give him the ball and he WILL get buckets. Discouraging natural scorers like that from shooting or relegating them to strictly a catch and shoot guy does NOT help them at all. His combination of scoring ability and "want to" on defense is rare. These execs around the NBA know this already and are hoping to get him on the cheap. Hopefully, the Hawks don't screw this up.

I've talked about this throughout the thread, when Cam gets his touches and shots, he scores at an extremely high clip

The biggest improvement is he is getting his within the offense and the turnovers he has made are attempting to make the right play. Much more consistent on defense the past few games too.

Like @JayBirdHawk has said we just want to see consistency from him. Glad he didn't go into a 10 game slump and hope he can string together 10 to 15 average to good games together.

Klutz Cam and Klutch Cam. Clumsy Cam and Killa Cam

He is talented, even gifted in some areas.

If he can tighten up that dribble, stop running in to defenders, stay focused and play within himself, I think he will be fine. 

I have to see longer stretches of good play from here on out. He isn't a baby anymore, I'm not going to sugar coat his screw ups just because I like his potential.
