If that so, how does he have over 9.5 assist per game?

USAGE.  By default, a player like Trae will accidently have a high number of assists.  When and how you get assists is as important as when you shoot 3 pointers.

Well now this is false.

we can rag on Ben Simmons all day about the series vs the hawks that’s cool no problem but REGULAR season Ben Simmons has no issues winning games.

Trae and Ben would guarantee playoffs every year …..we are still trying to figure out if Trae and Collins guarantees that however!

If Morey watched this game, we can forget about it.....

This is probably why Trae get pissed when JC opens his mouth about touches or whatever.....

He knows he aint shit without him.. smdh

JTB...

First.  YOu fail to see how much chemistry getting Ben would cost.

2nd.  You fail to see how many other players would have to be moved.

Getting Ben is not a simple x to y substitution.  Getting Ben is a total Hawks Makeover and we don't know what the new team would look like.   Right now, we are closer to the promise land than we are to the dump.

It is expected that if we lose, the drums for BS will get louder... mainly by you... but take a minute to think of what we would have to do to have this team you speak of that "guarantee playoffs every year".

Ben hasn't won a single game in his life. He has played in teams that have won a lot of games. He played in Philly last year that finished 1st in the east. Lost to us in the second round. Huge upset where John Collins outplayed him handily. This year Philly without Ben and having to carry that dead roster spot is second in the East 0.5 out of first place. They miss Ben so much that they have made absolutely no effort whatsoever to get him back on the team.

If the wings moved without the ball, instead of standing there and watching him, maybe Trae would pass it to them.

( Just seeing if the "Trae should move more off the ball" statement, works for our wings as well ).

WHY move when you standing in the corner wide open while Trae takes on 3 or 4 defenders? Below is a typical set that Nate runs.  Trae tricky dribbles from outside the elbow, gets pass the defender.  Big is coming over for either the pick and roll, lob or Trae continues to the rim.  The defense will collapse.  The wings and the shooting guard are left wide open.

Not excusing Collins, but we already know what he is and what he isn't. Toronto frontcourt is a tough matchup for him. They are strong and long and not easy to shoot over. He's not a 1 on 1 player, he has improved this year at taking smaller player in the block but he still can't score on bigger players down low. This is the type of game where Collins needed to hit the glass and get his points from pick and rolls, but with no Trae both of those options are more limited.

The other thing that JC can do is take his game outside.  But for whatever reason, his shots just wasn't falling.   He missed an open corner three badly.   Usually, he hits that shot.  It was just a sign that he was having a bad shooting night.   But he wasn't the only one.   For those people who believe that his bad shooting night was wholly because of Trae, they need to go back to their Playstation.... because they don't understand how basketball works.

He's been strugglng a lot with his outside shot. He has been very hesitant to take it.

According to you. According to the Hawks and the rest of the NBA that's his market value. Ben Simmons averages less points and much less efficiently than John throughout his career and he gets paid 50% more than Collins.

His shot mechanics on these 3s looks off, plus he rushed a few of them. Mostly open shots that we see him take and make.
