JJ would be good for the inbound

All I remember is them setting their defense on us and forcing us to use up the whole clock.  I have to go with the no time out here.   Not going to let them set their defense... I don't care if we do get it to half court.   They are going to Maul Murray and Bogi would have been covered.   They have way too much size.

We got a good shot off and was fouled without the timeout.   NO CALL.   This was bad officiating.   We missed too many free throws..  A timeout would not have made it better.

If Nate calls a time out and they put Simmons and Claxton back on the floor and shut down the inside and the outside... yall would be calling for his head for allowing them to get their defense back in the game.

If you want something to blame... Blame all the missed FTs...

We missed 7 out of 22.

If you want something to blame..  Blame the refs for not calling obvious fouls... all game.

Im honestly ok with them getting clayton and Simmons back on the court.  True it would be a bit tougher defenders but you also have a much better chance of getting a clean shot off that close to the basket even with those guys on the court.    Those 2 are very good defenders but their not gods and can be shot on within 20 ft or so.    Much better chance imo with that than trying to get a ball fully up court and getting a even remotely clean shot off from 40 ft.   Not only that but damn let Nate earn his money and draw up a legit play call during the timeout and prove he is worth what he gets paid to do.  Our guys are talented enough to go at those guys 1 on 1 and still score if you give them a chance that close to the basket with a solid play drawn up.

Just finished watching the game, Nate really be wearing out his welcome. This is the type of coaching that gets you fired.

They rarely call that shit anymore.

They call it all the time. Matter of fact they called it on the Hawks last game.

That's beyond stupid, we barely had time to get to halfcourt. A timeout was sorely needed.

Calling a timeout and advancing the ball with 4-5 seconds left is the ONLY thing that makes sense. Give Prunty time to draw up a play. It's not like that hasn't worked before. We only needed two points. I can't see how anybody can defend what happened at the end of this game.

We had two game winners by calling a timeout and running a play...I would prefer to take that chance.

Actually, we had 1 game winner by not calling a timeout.   AJ's first game winner was without a time out.  Nobody cried then...

Then there’s this…the fact that we have 2 game winners this season by advancing the ball makes this worse.

Nate just said it.  He wanted to catch the Nets in transition and get down before their defense was set.

And he didn't want to have their defensive team out on the floor.

Here's the problem . . their entire team was back on defense except for Claxton.

Kyrie makes the best play right there, by picking up Murray before he crossed halfcourt.  And Durant is tracking Dejounte too as he crosses halfcourt.

LOL . .  then Nate says that DJ didn't "see anybody", so he took the best shot he could.

Who is going to inbound the ball after your timeout??  And who will they throw it to?

It's not impossible to throw it in over a tall inbound defender.  Jalen Johnson can do it and there's scoring options out there man.  And all we need is a two.  Just attack and put it up.

That's a good call with time to get the ball up the court.  Not with 4.6 man...  It'll take 3 seconds to get the ball over half court.  The defense doesn't matter because at that point all we can do is heave it over a couple of outstretched arms.  We can do that inbounding from half court, but at least we have a few seconds to get something set up.

Totally disagree Diesel.  You have 4 seconds to run a play.

You bring in JJ to inbound the ball, which reduces the impact that a 6-10 Simmons would have guarding the inbounds play.

You put DJM, Bogi, A Holiday, and Collins on the floor.   And you run some action to get Murray free, with Bogi being the secondary target.  You also can throw it at Collins in the paint if he's open.

We only need a 2 in that situation.

Even the guys at NBA TV are questioning why they didn't call a timeout at the end.

Let's just leave DJM out of the play because 6'10 Ben Simmons is draped on him like a coat.   They probably have Royce Oneal on Bogi.  A Holiday with Kyrie.. and Collins and Nick out there together and JJ gets the pleasure of having to pass over KD....

Even if we get the ball in, they have their best defenders in the game.

There's no defense to not calling the timeout. You let JJ inbound the ball and have DJM, Bogi, AJ and JC on the court.

This honestly was the last straw for me for Nate. We just lost a game we should have won because he didn't have basic high school coach clock management.

We still have to make a shot.

All things considered, that was Nate's biggest mistake.  He played who were making contributions in his rotations tonight for longer stints. He needs to do that with a healthy team.

He was Fouled....

If the refs call the foul then it works...
