From what I can tell it was a three team trade with Detroit involved. Bey was coming to Atlanta, Crowder was coming to Atlanta and we were getting two protected first rounders with JC going out to PHX.

Granted, I don't know a ton about either player, but any ideas as to why Bey cost us 5 2nd rounders and Bones went for 2??  On paper, at least, they seem to have similar impact.

This is just me talking below.

If I was John I would get the finger surgery he should have gotten last year and be out the rest of the season to be healthy the rest of my career. Then in the offseason I would demand a trade out of Atlanta over how he has been dangled in trade talks for multiple seasons.

No one, I repeat no one, deserves to have one of the most basic questions of an adult's life "where do I work tomorrow?" be a constant question in their life year after year after year. John is the most stand up guy we have on this team. He busts his ass, he doesn't take plays off and he's been remarkable about not complaining about his lack of touches. Remember, John's third season he put up 22/10 on excellent shooting numbers. That's AS numbers.

Since then he's been ignored more and more. He does not complain. He plays hard. He plays defense. He is not a perfect player but damn if he doesn't do everything the right way as a player and a professional. 

And what does he get back in return from the Hawks? Disrespect. Disrespect on an epic level. We treated JR Rider better than we treat John Collins.

So if I am JC this offseason I make public trade demands. I don't care if it hurts the Hawks bargaining position.

Source said we had a deal to move Bogi for a rotation player and a protected first and then talks went silent. I am still waiting to hear if it got completed but hasn't been reported yet or if the other team walked away from the trade.

I feel bad for John, but that can be part of the NBA. Many players deal with uncertainty. It's one of those potential downfalls of being a pro athlete.

Sick of this BS every year.. Just trade the guy for crying out loud.. Cant stand the JC/CC pairing... No passing no shooting no dribbling...

So if Bogi is still here, and considering we gave up 5 2nd rounders for Bey...whose minutes is he getting? Is he taking mins from AJ and JJ?
