I don’t think it is an over pay. But why trade for him. I think he was part of a lager deal that was moving Bogi but that fell through and we are just stuck with half the deal. SMH.

Maybe most importantly, we created some room beneath the LT. I haven't done the math yet, but I suspect we're probably able to be legitimate players for a buyout, and me, I'd especially like to see that be a legit PF.

Why don't teams bow down to us like they bow down to the Lakers at the Deadline.

The Lakers improved everywhere. 

They got Mo Bamba for some Flaming Hot Cheetos and 1 second round pick. 

They got Russell, Vanderbilt and Beasley and got rid of Westbrook in the process..  And everybody talk about that first rounder as if it's going to be something important. 

 

Meanwhile, we gave up 5 2nd rounders for Bey.

Damn.

Could we have gotten Burkes?

Until the avoidance of the Luxury tax is not at the forefront of our moves, we will continually be in the bargain bin.

Our roster is better than it was yesterday. We did that without giving up much in talent and also without giving up any first rounders. 

This was a win by the new FO. It isn't their fault the Suns lied to them and pulled out of the JC trade after they had told JC he was being traded to Phx. We also had another trade with Bogi going out for a rotation player and a protected first but the other team flaked out at the last second.

In a positive note this means we keep our team, add to it and in the offseason we still have all the pieces we need to make a major trade. I think Embiid and KAT will be available for trade in the offseason. We might be able to land one of them to go with Trae and DJM.

I didn't say he was going to start for us. I said he's not a quality starter. He is a good rotation player though.

Collins feels lied to and is pretty upset. Bogi wants to stay in Atlanta so he seems okay with how close he was to being taded.
