With this new CBA and salary cap, EVERY decent player is going to be making this.  Siakam is already making 37 million and is a UFA next season, what do you think he's going to get paid?  I guarantee it will be close to 50 million, if not more.

KAT is a way better fit, stretches the D, a legit big who can rebound, post up, and shoot lights out.  Trading for Siakam ensures we are playing small ball and will be a horrible shooting/spacing team.  

Pretty much every player is considered soft before they win a championship.  KAT is no different.

From the minute JC declined the Hawks early extension offer before he hit RFAcy he was bound to be in rumors.  Same as it was for Brandom Ingram and the myriad of players who don't agree to early extension offers. Same as it ever was! Don't make up stuff though. 

IIRC @NBASupes blames Trae and his Dad for the JC extension, so which is it?  Don't make up stuff man!

If the player agrees then no problem but if the player thought he was part of a core group of players to lead the team then there will be hard feelings toward that team.  Just ask Trae Young if it felt good being mentioned as a trade option.

Simple speculation on potential deals can end up right or wrong. Who cares which.

Is there still KAT to ATL steam?  It’s been quiet in MNs end for most of the off-season other than saying they are going to run it back.

According to Wolstat, the Raptors “strongly considered” Bufkin with the No. 13 overall pick but went with wing Gradey d*ck instead.

But Toronto “remains high” on the former Michigan Wolverine, Bufkin.

I didn't mean to revive that with my statement on the Siakam stuff was meant as a fall back / leverage plan. The KAT stuff died a few weeks after the draft with a plan to revisit in Sept. I only know so much and so if I were to guess if we make a major move before camp begins, I'd say the chances are less than 30%, probably closer to 15-20%.  Most every move Atlanta could make relies on acquiring an overpriced player without giving up Trae or Murray (1 of which now can't be traded for a while).  

I thought I was clear weeks ago but nothing is hot now as all parties are at an impasse and that only improves in Sept.

 

The only exception to that was Dallas tried to revive Clint talks by involving a 3rd party but Atlanta hasn't bitten on that and Dallas just signed an emergency center.  Tells me that's dead now too.

Yeah, I can see the want for Bufkin.

They will have a core that consists of Gadey d*ck, OG, and Barnes.   You throw Bufkin in their and your future Raptors are young and Hungry. 

 Like I said, for the rental of Siakam:   Hunter, Bufkin and Mills and a first is palatable.   No way do they get AJ.
