With all of the posturing by teams/agents about who wants who or who wants to play where, I think we have to just take Sarr and then reopen up the floor for trades. Right now we look like we want out of number 1 so we can draft Clingan at a reasonable spot, and we have less leverage as a result. We just need to draft the player who is the target and then force teams hands if they want him. If Wash is truly okay with taking Risacher at 2, let them prove it. If they take him then we still hold the cards with San Antonio since both of the Frenchies are off the board now.

Teams want to call our bluff and gamble that we will shit the bed and take Clingan at number 1.

We need to flip the script on them.

Or..or..teams know we're dumb enough to love someone enough to tell the world and take the guesswork out of it. Dummies.

If we take Clingon we better not draft him one.

He worries me as he is slow and can’t shoot

He also needs some serious lower body agility conditioning......

The last time the Hawks loaded up on picks after trading away their pick they got Cam Reddish out of the deal. Now folks are agreeing with the Hawks making a even WORST decision than that decision.  The NBA is not gonna rig another lottery for the Hawks.  The NBA front office is saying " we might as well have left them where they were in the lottery."

I’m prepared for the usual Landry statement “We looked at a number of different options to improve the team but in the end decided that there weren’t any moves that made sense. We’re very excited to bring back our core and add this year’s draft pick while developing from within the organization.” Lol

lmao

They aren’t going to trade the pick.  They will ultimately take Clingan 1st.

Stop that shyt kb. The FO will be smart about this and draft Sarr...Lmao.  That's even funny to type....

What a circle jerk if this FO drafts Clingan one. This franchise is :IMG_5402.gif.79db5c12469833b898e4118d6ea48299.gif

I would take Cam over Herro today. Herro is overrated to me. He’s inconsistent and doesn’t play D. Doesn’t really play well within the system and is a selfish lil prick.

Can we take neither?  Is neither an option?

Landry says 10 days before the draft, they want to keep the pick.  Isn't that a strategic thing to say?  Like they want teams to think we value the pick, right?  GMs use the media strategically, not to show you the cards they are playing.

Even if they plan on trading the pick, you always public face by saying you are going to keep it and use it. You have to play the game with the media. they know this. They have a plethora of draft boards and options lined up depending on what happens with trade offers or just flat out using the #1 pick and that's that.
