Reed is honestly my favorite prospect in the entire draft. He feels and plays like a slightly larger Mark Price.

Sothron!  I mentioned Mark Price a while back.  I’d be fine with the pickup.  I appreciate that he has an absolutely transferrable skill.

Interesting we've seen two small guards not work, for multiple seasons.

But have now convinced ourselves, because we like Reed, that two small guards now will work with one being a rookie.

I used the same Pistons analogy when we got Dejounte, but it’s turned out terrible. Genuinely curious why you think Trae / Reed would be different on defense.

His shooting is eye popping. That’s for sure.

Trae is not the leader and not a franchise player imo.   I believe most GMs around the league agree with this.

He's one of the most efficient shooters in college basketball history. I wouldnt take him #1, but Id consider trading down and taking him. Trae and Murray not working had more to do with style of play than size per se, in my opinion.

It not working was primarily defensively.... which had 1013% to do with size.

Why not take hom at 1.  If you want him and have the pic along with apparently the draft is so bad go ahead.

ps I was mad so I played the all time Hawks vs the current Raptors squad. Wuuut  it was on all star level

Three reasons which are his main qualities:

Shooting: he's not a James Harden/Trae guy that dribbles forever and takes a 30 foot step back. He CAN do that but he's just as good as catching and shooting it. His shooting is ****ing ungodly. He can shoot it from anywhere in any way you can shoot. He can attack the basket. He can cut. He's not afraid of contact.

Defense: he is a good defender. He had the best max vertical in the entire combine. He showed in spades with his blocks he can just jump up and contest people's shots. His hands are elite. Watch his defense. He's constantly getting steals, deflections, blocks, tips...his hands are ALIVE and active.

Basketball IQ: This is where the Mark Price comparison really comes through. Price's basketball IQ on both sides of the ball was through the roof. Reed has that. He is usually one or two steps ahead of the opponent in where the ball is going and where the play is developing. You can't fake that.

You take those three and add that to Trae and yes, I'm not worried about them being short.
