Did someone really compare Clingan to Hasheem Thabeet?   That might be the most ignorant comparison I’ve ever seen.

Wow — Very different pedigree.  Drafting Clingan is buying into synergy creator, winning experience, BBIQ, etc.  I don’t recall Thabeet having any of that in his favor.  They are both simply large people.  It’s like comparing Hailburton and JCulver.

I'd be happy with him too.

UCONN reunion maybe?

A small reality check on getting 2 FRP’s back from the Spurs to swap 2 and 4 -

The price to swap 3 and 5 for the generational Luka Doncic was one top 5 protected FRP.

Will most likely get at least 1 back if they really love Risacher. Wemby might be pushing hard for him behind the scenes.

Many seem to have a negative outlook, but it's a work in progress. Let's wait and see what the final product looks like and if Houston will make the right decision.

Additionally, the NOP deal may include a draft pick. We might not recover both original picks, but acquiring two additional first-rounders would be fantastic. If they were to include the LAL 2025 first-round pick, that would be incredibly satisfying.

Draft picks, this draft - - They aren't like a great draft so we can't be swapping draft picks.

Bull feathers!  This draft is what it is.  It's not going to change so get over it!

Sarr's agent doesn't want him here.  Why?  Because, Atlanta's roster is the most unsettled of any NBA team.  Every player is a potential trade piece.  Yep.  That includes the beloved Trae.  And, where do we get the idea that, if we trade him, we will have 5 consecutive 10-win seasons.  Obviously, we will be trading him for nothing.

If you're just looking at the body type and how both kinda lumber around the court, Bryant "Big Country" Reeves comes to mind.

But Clingan pretty much dusts Big Country in every statistical category... and was the #6 pick in 1995, following Antonio McDyess (#2), Jerry Stackhouse (#3), Rasheed Wallace (#4) and Kevin Garnett (#5). #1 that year played a lot of years, but never really justified that status, Joe Smith.
