If franchises took a more holistic approach to team building, there would be more competitive balance

A complete overreaction to the Heat playoff loss.  We were an above .500 team that finished 9th despite having probably the most rotation players lost to covid and injury in the league.   By the time we hit the playoffs we had very few actually healthy players and we got beat by a suddenly motivated Heat team.  

The panic to bring in DJ was the first mistake.

It was definitely a mistake but not the first one.  Maybe the largest?  And I like Murray, just see the fit don't fit.

Sent out three rotation players (plus a ton of picks) and only brought in Murray.

Give a look at the shooting test so you can see how its not just open gym shooting. There is a movement and endurance aspect.

 

Edey numbers to compare to this PG sized guy.  Dude is a former high school player offered to play in NAIA but turned it down to be a sports youtuber.

His film is littered with poor close outs, blow byes when he’s guarding on the perimeter, and overall below average rim protection.   He doesn’t have the ability to recover from the perimeter.  He also drops with his hands down.
