If you say lottery I see..but he and Clingan aren't close to intriguing enough to trade down or otherwise. Plodding centers (testing notwithstanding) are an eventual albatross. I say this because Sarr is or should be the play. I'm not knocking anyone based off the testing. Some good things from Edey. But he nor anyone else moved me away from Sarr. No one is taking Edey at 1. I am just tired of people just making up things about him. They just did the combine and Edey was really good.

Plus, he can’t stay on the floor because he’s so immobile.

theheroatl
The current teams drafting look at the remaining playoff teams and get scared of Clingan and Edey. it is what it is… At the end of the day, the teams make the choices not fans Edited May 14 by theheroatl

That draft was all about Nerlen's injury. The whole thing. All of them turned out to be bums so whatever.

He has to be able to defend on the perimeter.
Moderators Popular Post AHF Posted May 14 Moderators Popular Post Report Share Posted May 14 There is a thread if people want to debate Edey’s NBA future. That thread was spammed with repeats of the same opinions. Let’s not repeat that here. Please limit it to combine results and leave the deep dive predictions for the thread focused on him. I don’t think anyone from his greatest fans to his greatest critics think the Hawks would consider him at #1. 3

KB21
A couple of bold predictions about this draft: 1. Tidjane Salaun goes top 10. This kid is dripping with potential. He’s a lottery ticket, but someone is going to be very intrigued with 6’10” with shooting and defensive upside. The more I looked at him, the more I wanted him for the Hawks if we stayed at 10. 2. Ulrich Chomche will push to be drafted in the late lottery. He measured in at a shade under 6’11” at the combine today. He’s an elite athlete. Potential defensive anchor. 3. Pacome Diadet goes top 20. This is really a draft where you are better off taking a chance on a lottery ticket than looking for immediate impact. KB21
The Hawks should try to get another first later in the draft this year (Capela to Phoenix for 24) and take Bobi Klintman. Really high upside wing with size and skill.
