Moderators Popular Post lethalweapon3 Posted July 13 Moderators Popular Post Report Share Posted July 13 Content with Mon Main Man, ZachRiBleu! Good first performance, fared well against Sarr, and his passing caught my eye. Big Bro Wallace was a fun watch, too. When the ball moved the execution looked sharp, emphasis on When (grading on a curve, sans Ko-B). Only real quibbles? 14 missed freebies was La Difference in the outcome. And I hope Kyle's player development crew is working on plays where Easy Mo Gee can shoot the rock with his back to the floor, since he seemed to live there for so much of the game. I might get destroyed for this, but he kind of reminds me of pre neck injury Demarr Johnson. That's not a knock. Johnson was a decent athlete and could do a little bit of everything but never became more than a role player. I said the same.

Premium Member Popular Post Sothron Posted July 13 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted July 13 Nicola looked good to me. He's too aggressive but you can coach that. It is way, way easier to coach an aggressive player into tempering that than trying to instill a motor in a guy that just doesn't have one. See: Hunter. Nicola is not a PG and he's being asked to be one. He had some great court vision looks but some awful moments of ball handling and trying to run the offense as well. I thought he looked more like a great relay passer and secondary ball handler going into this game and I feel more strongly about that now.

Popular Post Spud2nique
Not overreacting one way or another but I liked what I saw overall tonight. RISACHER:Ultra quick release, was aggressive right off the bat with that airball had me worried but then settled down with some nice outside shots, that vicious lefty coast 2 coast throw down and REAL DEFENSE. By that I mean SMART TEAM DEFENSE. He interrupted several passes with deflections and overall awareness. The flare on those passes were nice. TEAM DUDE! High BBIQ, I dig. Absolute quick release ala crybaby Klay Thompson. NIKO: I liked him when we drafted him cuz dude had a black guy. Thought he was tough and tonight he laid a dude out. Reminds me of Sarunas in Golden State back in the day. Strong dude, I loved his passing, specially the cross court ones, that dunk in the lane got me jumping out of . Disruptive on D, that one break he stopped the ball literat back into defender. High BBIQ, team dude. GUEYE: Again first game but I didn’t love his performance I thought he was pressing too much and wasn’t letting the game come to him. I like how he and Sarr scuffled. He needs to stay upright. LIDELL: Had a nice board against 2 Wiz players for an AND 1 but not too much other than he’s physical with a physical body. He needs to be better. WINDLER: Dude just fires away. lol. I dunno, 18th man to me. Cason Wallace brother: same hair, a big of the same game minus the strength and talent. Not a bad player. Good game 1. I mean, we got our feet wet. We have a couple rookies in Z10 and Niko that are smart, play D and play hard. Cool to have Hawks back!!!
TheBigETrain
Anyone know why Seth Lundy is not on Hawks summer league roster? Is he injured? Why sign him to a two way deal then not play him in Vegas

Hunter played better off the bench last season and I think playing Hunter in reduced minutes may actually help him get through a season.

I can see how he slides in an compliments the main roster. Team player. He’ll def look better off the bench for us imo. I liked a lot of what I saw tonight, mostly some of his offball movement. Shooting % kind of irrelevant in summer league so not worried about that. You can tell he just has a good feel for the game, will thrive in his minutes playing with Trae. And playing with a cohesive defense I see potential for him as a very high end role player on a championship team. Like MPJ
Premium Member Jody23 Posted July 13 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 13 Overall good effort from the Summer Hawks. Although he wasn't featured much, I like Dylan Windler. Really good shooter with size I hope the Hawks can keep.
Gray Mule
Impressive beginning of the Summer League. The bad: Baby Hawks missed too many free throws. Need to clean this up. When our starting PG was injured, the remainder of the team picked up the pieces and carried on with everything. Kobe is out for a while. Offence moved the ball well. Didn't see too much of isolation, hold the ball, hog the time. Quickly moved! Defense was great for a first game and new players. It can only get better and better. When do we play again? Seeing some new Hawks and some new Skyhawks !!
