I liked a lot of what I saw tonight, mostly some of his offball movement. Shooting % kind of irrelevant in summer league so not worried about that. You can tell he just has a good feel for the game, will thrive in his minutes playing with Trae. And playing with a cohesive defense I see potential for him as a very high end role player on a championship team. Like MPJ I think his ceiling is higher than MPJ. he can average 24-7-5 if he is efficient. That’s in Lauri and Siakam territory. Its not that hard.. Franz Wagner was my closest comp for him coming in and Wagner is already a huge part of the Magic Edited July 13 by theheroatl

Good 3rd option guy that makes his teammates better, takes over some nights depending on matchups, etc. A lot of work to improve before that though

He has to bulk his frame mainly. He got some great looks at 3. He will become more efficient. Even Trae had a ton of looks in summer league (tons of misses). But it shows in the same way for Zacs future Edited July 13 by theheroatl
Popular Post theheroatl
One thing I love the most is how his length is very valuable in team defense if he plays the 2. I noticed him swarming and helping a lot which is crucial for good defenses.

Moderators AHF Posted July 13 Moderators Report Share Posted July 13 I still watch these almost completely for entertainment only. The competition is so bad and there is so little organization / scheme happening and the incentives make it so most guys are pressing to score and more lax on D that I don’t care much about the results as far as projecting anyone. My biggest takeaway for that reason is that Gueye doesn’t look ready to fill minutes at the PF position when play starts. In terms of Risacher at SG I’m skeptical given that Bogi and Daniels can eat every minute available and then some. Risacher has to get minutes at SF unless the plan is for Daniels to play there and that is doubly the case if we dump Hunter. We just don’t have many options there, imo.
Premium Member shakes Posted July 13 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 13 Liked what I saw from Zach. Liked what I saw from #7. Mo was garbage. Hawks should've traded Trae to SAS for their picks back and then drafted Shepherd #1 and been set at PG for the next decade.

Spurs weren't doing that I think Trae is highly likely to re-sign though. I don't think teams want him that bad and only ATL might be willing to pay him as mich as he wants. Hope we don't end up regretting passing on him. He was excellent last night.

Summer league doesn’t mean much of anything good or bad. It's not a question of whether he played bad or good..He just doesn't have the skill yet. Shaking handles which his offense is limited to catch and shoot. No midrange, no post ups, Limited vision. The one drive he attempted in traffic when he tried a left handed lay up was Capela like. He needs time.

kg01
Bronnie >> Reed Seriously though, I wouldn't be surprised if Bronnie ends up with a fake injury to spare them all the embarrassment of pitting him against real NBA players. And don't start on the lebron hate. He didn't invent nepotism. He didn't even invent nepotism in the nba. 2
