Yeah I heard that, and that is F'ing pathetic.  None of them accept for Bogi has reached out to the players, and he only reached out to Nikola.

I imagine the Hawks have some kind of plan for engaging the current players with the rookies (particularly Risacher as Nikola might not be in Atlanta next year).  I'd give it a bit more time before excoriating the player for not reaching out even if I agree it would have been a nice gesture.

Can't deny anymore that Trae, DJ, Capela and all the trading block rumored people are distancing themselves from the Hawks organization.

On contrast, you have Knick Nova guys grouping together

I can deny that I see good evidence for that.  Most of these guys go on vacation when the season is over and don't do much of anything publicly around the team for a while.  I don't see any difference this year with Capela for example.  He wasn't high fiving Bufkin or Jalen or hanging out and hitting the clubs with Koonin in the offseason.  I would not read this much into what is normally a quiet period for our vets.

This is fair.  I guess we can see who shows up to our sl games.  Then read too much into that, of course. 😁

Trae wants to see more than a draft pick. I think him not welcoming the draft pick is his way of communicating with the FO that he won't be satisfied with the Off Season unless more is done.

It's still immature act.  If he has a problem with the F.O. pick up the phone & talk it out

Then he'll be accused of running the team. Discussion are typically done thru the player agents and not 'Trae on line 4' for Landry.

Trae wants to Win. That's it.

Put a competitive team on the floor that can achieve that. That's it.

Management doesn't have to get involved for players to communicate.  If the "shoes were on the other foot" He would feel slighted if it was him.

That's still not excusing him from sending a simple tweet to the Kid

But if he's uncertain about his standing on the team considering his name is in so many trade rumors - why would he?

Trae should know not to believe all the trade rumors.  He knows his standing with the Resslers.  It's just show's maturity & qualities of a leader.  A mature person wouldn't be worried about looking "foolish" for reaching out to fellow player and later getting traded.

We literally have no idea what any of them have or haven't done so no need to react at this point.

They had a press conference this morning, and the rookies didn't mention any of them other than Bogi to Nikola had done so.

There simply isn't good evidence right now.  Every player could be ready to demand a trade tomorrow including our rookies but until we have good reason to believe that is the case there is no reason to presume it.

Where Trae in particular is a year from now I think will have much more to do with what Fields does with the rest of the summer and how the team performs this year than anything that is in play right now.  If he gives away DJM and runs everything back then you should expect an unhappy camper.  If he flips DJM for Vassell and Capela + Sacramento first for Sengun then expect a happy camper.  Time will tell but the driving factors will likely be things that are not currently knowable, imo.

That's just tells us what they said.  It doesn't tell us what has happened.

What if vets told them not to mention anything because they didn't want the media to make it about them?

What if theyre on a cruise or are otherwise unplugged from it all?

My point is, no need to get our blood pressure up.  Unless you just want to then go ahead.

I just stated my opinion on the matter, if you don't agree that's fine.  No further comment.

There is a former Hawk who is now in the front office as assistant GM who was a knock-down three-point shooter.  For some strange reason, watching film on this, the Atlanta Hawks 1st round pick, I think of him.  Could it be possible, he's going to be our next three- point specialist??

Front office knew who they wanted.  This is their choice.  Wanting to see him in action!
