Bey, the Former Hawk, has gone to Washington.  He was our biggest bully when he played.  On offense, he ran over and through people and didn't back up for anyone.  We will sure miss that part of his game.

Being out due to injury meant Atlanta couldn't keep him.  Happy that he's found a new home.  Sad to be homeless.

Loved Bey. Our roster had flaws last season that he both contributed to and was also a victim of.

Regardless he played tough and confident. When his shot was falling he was a huge plus. He did his best to cover us at PF. His defense was exposed on a roster that had size issues across the board.

When speaking about defensive culture, he is not a tone setter, but around the right pieces you can have a Saddiq Bey on the floor and not be killed. We did not have those pieces last season.

His injury was unfortunate. Sucks for him and his career. He would been paid significantly more if he accepted the money we offered him last offseason. That is the risk of sports. That’s why you can’t be mad a guys who chase the bag. Nothing lasts forever.

I hate he is in Washington. For a division rival I barely ever think of them, but this offseason they have been too close to home on a lot of big personnel decisions for us and it’s becoming annoying.

I hope he does well but I really want that franchise to suck. So, there’s that.

If other guys in this league hustled as much as Bey then they'd be much much better players.  Dude has a motor.  Good luck to him.

Anyone got any more intel?   Last i heard Hunter was on the block for a potential cheaper wing?  Seems like we have to do something at center since we still want to bring Bruno back.   Hopefully there's nothing brewing with Trae.

Nothing on Hunter or anyone on this squad other than they aren't done. 

They are expected to engage again with Portland about Ayton during TC or preseason. 

They want to keep Bruno is the latest I've heard

This makes sense from a roster construction and fit standpoint.

Why would the Ayton be waiting until then do you know?

We have until august 1 on Bruno

We can't trade the previously traded players for two months after receiving them.  So the New Orleans players we received can't be traded until like September 4th or something like that.

Maybe we are looking at two deals since we won’t know about an Ayton deal until after Bruno’s deadline.  Hunter before August 1st and Capela after September (with Nance)?

Ok.  I thought they actually couldnt' be traded until december but hopefully that's not right.

They can be traded by themselves at anytime, they just cannot be combined with another player.

September 6th for Danials, Nance and Liddell

December 15th for Zeller since he was a SnT.

Ayton deal gotta be a leverage play or smokescreen, just cannot see us wanting him based on the types of players we value

yeah, I forgot to add that detail. He asked what was the hold up with Ayton deal so I was just explaining in relation to Ayton.

Won't see nothing til Sept 6 or after..summer league now then not much happening
