I'll just go with the not damming reasons lol. 

We don't have any clear spots. 

We don't even play young guys who were "highly" drafted. 

Our developmental reputation is TBD at the moment, but is trending the right way. 

We have zero reason to think we're *really* competing this year.

I don’t think the vast majority of UDFAs care about whether a team is competing.  They just want a promising path to a roster spot.  A place like Miami with their history of success with UDFAs makes them really attractive.

Out recent history is that we don’t even play our first round picks as rookies and we certainly don’t have success with UDFAs coming out of school and we also have clear starters and some form of backup at most positions so we aren’t going to be at the top of anyone’s list.

We need to change the narrative of this team in so many areas.
