Forget the actual dollars. Everything is basically Monopoly money now in NBA contracts. Look at the percentage a player's contract counts against the cap. It is insane how  low JJ's contract will count against the cap in years 4 and 5 in this deal. This is why this was a homerun deal for the Hawks and JJ. He just got generational wealth and the Hawks lock him up for five years on a good deal. 

Imagine having your 2nd best player on a deal where he only counts about 14 percent or less in  his year4 and 5 of the deal. Crazy!
