I've got a feeling that this guy will endear himself to Mike Woodson very early on, and he's going to get quite a bit of playing time because he will "bring it" defensively. Gray Mule
Sounds like a keeper!! I'm thinking Hawks may keep all their draft picks. Why not. Defens being the #1 priority, Royal Ivey appears to fit right in. Thanks for the articles.
emeans
I really hope he makes the team. We need a shutdown defensive point guard very bad. I saw him twice last year I wasn't impressed but that was just two times, so I didn't know anything about his history and I wasn't really looking at him as a propect. He sounds like a winner and a keeper. Again I hope he makes the team.
OGRat
Thanks for the info. Was wondering about the outlook on Ivie. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does in the Summer Leagues.

TnDawg
These are some great reads on Ivey. With Donta already being proclaim a sleeper in this draft for us, my confidence in Billy's move is on the rise. Not that I had any doubts to begin with, considering the ground work he layed out for Memphis. Since it appears that we will be keeping JT, I hope that Woodson don't hestitate to sit him down if he don't improve his defense and decision making." Play good defense and the offense will work itself out".GO Hawks.
UncleOJ
Looks like Royal's biggest doubters were in his own family! First Pops tries to talk Rick Barnes out of offering him a scholarship, then nobody in the family even bothers to watch the draft. With support like that, who needs detractors?
