emeans
Read the article: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1847658 He is demanding that he be traded or he will holdout. Who would have thought he would be this unhappy about the Portland situation. He is really stuck between a rock and a hard place because of his huge contract. He is almost untradeble. BK got rid of him just in time!!
tmac13
If Portland wants an overpaid bench scrub we have their guys..Especally if Damp signed, a frontline of Damp, SAR, and Harrington wouldn't be too bad..Then at the end of the year, we have his 14 mill to spend.. Lascar78
well I think that maybe now those who were complaining understand why we couldn't get picks out of that deal. His contract is undesirable given the player he is
Packfill
His contract ends at the end of the year so he is very tradeable, particularly around the trade deadline when lots of teams will be looking for capspace. What is keeping him in Portland is the fact that Portland is trying to get equal talent in return.
Traceman
Quote: What is keeping him in Portland is the fact that Portland is trying to get equal talent in return. Well yeah! If they wanted to trade him for LESSER talent (see Hendu/CC for Reef proposal above), of course he is tradeable! ANYBODY can be traded if one team agrees to take something worse in return. See the Danny Fortson/Calvin Booth trade of a few days ago. Neither player was doing ANYTHING to help their current teams and both players had 3 years left on their deals. What was the worst thing that could happen by trading them for each other? Fortson has been more productive in the league but he certainly didn't fit in Dallas. Booth is not as talented but maybe he will be able to help Dallas. Even if he can't, at least they got rid of a disgruntled guy in Fortson who was just pouting on the bench. emeans
That would be interesting. It comes down to who would you rather have for 1 year....Shareef or Henderson/CC. Hmmmmmm.....
TnDawg
I would like that trade as SAR is more serviceable and less injury prone than the other two. With all contracts expiring at the end of the year, It would be worth it. It would mean that we definitely need Damp. I was thinking we may end up with Pryz, Collier, and Hendu as our centers.
