I thought in trades (correct me if I'm wrong) they would have to take a percentage of the salary back unless it is a minimum contract... meaning Kittles can't be traded for just a 2nd round pick

well LAC is under the cap, so I think it works that they can take back more salary in a trade

The Clippers are way under the cap so they can afford to absorb Kittles $10 million without sending away any salary. The value in Kittles isn't his play but that his contract expires next year so the Clippers can try again in free agency next season.
