who is better out there this offseason?

damp was overpaid and only puts out in contract years

keon clark is missing and nobody can contact him

pollard is paid too much for too long and we'd have to give something up

so who did u wanna get?

willis can still play defense

he can teach our young centers how to play better

we have a good mixture of young and old with a good coaching staff and lots of potential...

we did as good as we could have this offseason given what we started with and who was available

Quite Frankly, there just weren't any big men to be had this year. We are playing it safe and not spending the bank and locking into long term contracts and we are still getting serviceable BIG men.

If Dampier was the premier big man then like I said there wasn't any true good big men that will make a big impact on the team.

There are only 2 impact centers in the East and that is Shaq and Jermaine and Jermaine is really a forward. McGloire is in the West now and I would hardly consider him impact. He is good but not impact.

So in a nutshell this was pretty much all we could do to get big men this year and we have 3 bodies to foul Shaq.

This is what the team has lacked for a long time, and with the addition of Kevin Willis, this is exactly what the team has added. This is a young team that needs the type of veteran leadership that Kevin Willis will bring.

People ignore that aspect of things, but a lack of leadership is a bigger reason this team hasn't won in 5 years. The team didn't lack talent. They lacked the leadership for that talent.

He's not there to help us get over the hump; sh#t, our boys can't even see how far away the hump is *lol* Willis is out there to mentor and provide stability - in the court, in the locker room, and on the road.

To top it off, he's got Hawks roots. This is an outstanding move.
