HUH??? Somebody help me reason this. Will Toronto get some First rounders? Makes me wonder.. Would you trade for Vince? AW/Diaw for Vince?

Not worth it to trade a "LEADER" like Antoine for a whiny-ass Dunking machine who doesn't even TRY TO PLAY DEFENSE.... Sorry...no Dice on that trade. Iman
I'd trade Walker for Rose so for sure I'd do for Vince..lol. I dont get that trade either, doesnt sound close to me even with a few picks even if Toronto just wants to start over.
Premium Member Diesel Posted November 19, 2004 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted November 19, 2004 I thought about it again.... Toronto might not be able to do anything with Vince. He wants out and he's marketable. I would have thought they would have gone after more, but then again, why not get a big time PG to go with Bosh. They are rebuilding... I figure they will take PTL's first and instead of Anderson, they will take NVE. At the end of the day, they will have a very young team with prospects... They probably will throw a lot of cash at Redd? Why not? Araujo/Bosh/Mo Pete/Redd**/Felton With a strong enough draft, they can reload.

Packfill
Rafer Alston is off to a great start is is on his way to being one of the top ten point guards in the league. Probably not their biggest need.

Lascar78
I like him as much as the next guy, but he is not top 10 by any stretch of the imagination. He plays mistake free for the most part and has good all around ball handling and shooting skills, but does not excell at running the offense. He was definitely overpaid. Not to mention he's 28 so this is his peak really.
Spiral
The one thing I notice right off the bat about this trade is that Toronto gets rid of Rose's terrible contract. I think he has 3 or 4 years left at like 15 mil a year. I stumbled onto a sight once that gave the players salaries and years on their contracts and I was like, Jalen Rose is the most overpaid player in the league. I wish I could find that site again. What this trade does for Toronto is brings in some role players and clears up cash so that they will be a large player for some of these big name free agents that will be available this coming off season. The thing is, I really don't think big name players really want to play in Toronto.
