Premium Member Diesel Posted December 14, 2004 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 14, 2004 Atlanta trades: PF Antoine Walker (22.1 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 3.5 apg in 41.4 minutes) Atlanta receives: PF Tom Gugliotta (1.5 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 0.5 apg in 11.5 minutes) Michael Stewart (No games yet played in 2004/05) PF Al Jefferson (5.6 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 0.1 apg in 13.7 minutes) PF Nikoloz Tskitishvili (1.9 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 0.3 apg in 8.9 minutes) Nene Hilario (No games yet played in 2004/05) Change in team outlook: -13.1 ppg, -1.9 rpg, and -2.6 apg. Boston trades: PF Tom Gugliotta(1.5 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 0.5 apg in 11.5 minutes) Michael Stewart (No games yet played in 2004/05) SG Ricky Davis (14.2 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 2.5 apg in 33.8 minutes) PF Al Jefferson (5.6 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 0.1 apg in 13.7 minutes) Boston receives: PF Antoine Walker (22.1 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 3.5 apg in 41.4 minutes) Change in team outlook: +0.8 ppg, +0.1 rpg, and +0.4 apg. Denver trades: PF Nikoloz Tskitishvili (1.9 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 0.3 apg in 8.9 minutes) Nene Hilario (No games yet played in 2004/05) Denver receives: SG Ricky Davis (14.2 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 2.5 apg in 33.8 minutes) Change in team outlook: +12.3 ppg, +1.8 rpg, and +2.2 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED As stated, this trade is for everyone..... Boston gets a PF who can put up points, pass, a return of Walker. It would get them a shot at the ECF. Denver gets a SG. One who can shoot the lights out. He is uptempo and with Miller, Camby, and Mello, he becomes the third scorer that they need. Atlanta gets: Nene, Skitta, and Al Jefferson... I would immediately wave Googs, Yogi... Nene/Smoove/Harrington/Chillz/Ivey..... With Peja/Jefferson/Skitta/Diaw/Anderson/Willis/and D.Smith off the bench..... Packfill
No way Danny Ainge reacquires Walker. Also, I don't think Antoine Walker gets the Hawks Nene, Jefferson and Skita. We would be lucky to just get Nene.

bballfan
I don't see Antoine ever playing for Danny Ainge again. Danny Ainge is too busy picking his team by a brain docter.
Plainview1981
You think you are going to get 3 guys with potential for Walker? You aren't going to get those 3 guys for Walker... Sorry.
Dakin
Yea, Walker's trade value around this place seems to be vastly overrated.

You sound like a poster I have seen at another message board. Why be so negative. A Walker for Rasheed Wallace deal was done back when he played for Boston but Rasheed Wallace told the Celtics if they traded for him he would make their lives miserable and they backed out. There was also a trade that would have netted Dallas Vince Carter that involved Walker so while his trade value is being overated here by some you are vastley underating his trade value. Dakin
Im being realistic not negative. I don't expect the Hawks to be able to get much more than they did for Rasheed last year.
Premium Member Diesel Posted December 15, 2004 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted December 15, 2004 I think you miss it... Walker can net us a lot in return if we have the right trading partner. The only thing that matters in this league is winning. Walker will be an allstar and might be an allstar starter. A team that is on the verge of going to the playoffs like Philly, Boston, NY, GS, and even Toronto would give us a good deal for Walker. I think it's very possible that we can possibly get Vince for Walker/1st... The other thing is that he's an ending contract. You call him a rental, but for a lot of teams, getting rid of 14 million dollars by Season's end would be a good thing. Teams like Memphis, Houston, and NY would do that in a heartbeat. I'm thinking that Swift/J-Will for Walker could be a done deal as well. You got to stop being SOOO negative and realize that there is value in Walker.
