Admin
I can tell you one thing for sure........the differnce between Stromile and Walker is like night and day. While Walker hasnt been on fire tonight, at least he can score. Stromile is worthless for anythign but putbacks. I would not be happy at all if we had Stromile starting for us in place of Walker next year. Anyways, this has been a great effort from a very tired team. Hopefully we can pull it out..... Admin
I cant believe how bad that last series was. 17 seconds on the block and all we can do is get a desperation shot by Lue fading away that barely gets rim.....we definitely blew a game that we had no business losing. tmac13
Swifts game is basically the just like Smooves, and he is 4 years into the league..He has abosolutely no offensive skills.
Employee8
Walker should've just tried to do something with it....He usually makes those ridiculous off-balance/he's-gotta-be-nuts shots. Rather him than Lue......And what about Harrington? Bad playcall...just BAD PLAYCALLING by Woodson. If *THAT* was in fact the call....
tmac13
It looked like Walker and Lue were lecturing Harrington as they walked off the court, I have a feeling that was supposed to be Harringtons play.
Admin
Except Smooth has showed recently, especially in the 2nd quarter tonight that he is developing his J....something that Swift will never have. They do have similar games in that they are big time leapers who can throw down some serious jams.
Employee8
I know hindsight is 20/20 and all(and I'm NOT saying that Walker is at fault here) but had Walker not gotten T'ed up in the game, we would be looking at OT right now. (Yeah I know...I'm nitpicking....) But anyway, good effort by Toine, Harrington and Company....But it must be sooooo damn infuriating to lose so many of these close games.... Gray Mule
Diaw can't or won't score. So what. When he was in the game, the ball movement was markedly better. So was defense. It won't show up on the stat sheet, but when he was in the game, things seemed to go the Hawk's way. When he was taken out, things slowly went down hill. Hawks stayed right there to the end, missing the last shot that would have won the game. Still, that run might not have happened with some better passing and defense, which Diaw had provided - - Oh well -----------------

falc82
The Hawks play much better when either Drobs/Willis/Collier are not on the court. We rebound more as a team, run the break better, finish around the basket better, and play better defense. The Hawks would have lost by more than 1 point had we been forced to play those 3 for heavy mins. like we usually do. Obviously we can not go with Walker at center all year, but Ekezie did a good job I thought during his limited mins. We just have to get a big in the offseason somehow or another. Gray Mule
Question. Are the Hawks winning a lot of games while Diaw sits on the bench? The thought that something just might turn all those losses we suffer, night after night, into a victory every once in a while interests me. Maybe the Hawks have been looking in all the wrong places. What if the Hawks discover that, giving Diaw some time on the floor, changes the look of the Hawks just enough to cause these victories to happen. All of us, including me, worry about his non shooting when he is on the floor. We all want and expect him to just shoot the danged ball. Score some points! But, suppose the Hawks take what he brings, use it to it's full advantage, magnify it and forget what he doesn't do well, which is shoot. What if he makes the other players on the floor with him better. What if the Hawks {gasp} win once in a while. Every trade idea we see usually adds this, "And throw in Diaw to make it work." What if we trade him away and he blossoms, using the skills we know now that he has - - Hawks need something - we all know that -- Maybe this is just grasping at straws, as they say. Maybe it makes not one bit of difference. But, on the other hand, if we discover something good here, something we already have, wouldn't that be nice! I think it's worth a try -- It's not like we are driving for the championship this season. We just want a few victories sprinkled in occasionally.
